In the aftermath of the Time War, Loki became a lonely wanderer, traversing the universe in search of new adventures. The weight of the Time War lingered on his shoulders, driving him to explore the complexities of morality and consequence in the ever-shifting tapestry of time.
After some time, something changed in Loki. The effects of his actions leading up to the Time War and how he acted birthed a yearning for a new purpose. The chaos and destruction of the war had left a void in the fabric of time, and Loki saw an opportunity to assert his influence in a different way.

Once Kian had found Ava, he knew his time with the merc company he had been working with was coming to a close. As to the future, he wasn't exactly sure, but he knew that Cori would be able to help him put together the puzzle he could now put his full focus into.
So he sent a message through the few contacts he could trust, ones who would know exactly how to get that message into the right hands. She'd made her way to the planet he'd wound up on, and at long last, part of the family was back together.
