Today was the closing of one chapter and starting of another as Aurora, Alice, Eric, and Zaira left Hogwarts in the same way they had arrived: Across the Black Lake in a charmed boat.
As the walls of her home drifted farther away, Aurora looked over, eyes blurry with unshed tears and for a brief moment there she was: a brand new unsorted First Year seeing Hogwarts for the first time.
She may be leaving the school behind her, but she knew- Hogwarts would always be there if she needed it to welcome her home.

With exams and graduating fast approaching, the girls decided to go hole up in a corner of the library for a study session... and maybe a few shenanigans thrown in here and there as Skylar practices with potions.

Finding happiness in the darkness that the Grecession placed upon the wizarding world had been harder than Aurora thought it would be. Oh, she had plenty of happy moments in her life to draw upon, but none that really seemed to stick enough for her to produce anything more than wisps of blue silver.
Until.
Until she conjured up something that had yet to happen. Something that brought her joy, hope, and as long as she thought about it, chased away her own darkness she'd been battling since Easter holiday. The moment she did that? Silver light burst from her wand and with it, the winged serpentine form of her patronus: an occamy that lit up the night as it wove an intricate pattern in the sky above her. She'd done it!

Something was close... a wild Thestral maybe? She did seem to have a connection to the eerie equines. Aurora felt a pull toward the edge of the grounds and with a glance over her shoulder, she pulled out her wand just in case... and went to investigate.

With two months- less than that now actually, left at Hogwarts for her last time, Aurora found herself wandering the halls as if cataloging everything one more time. Finally she found herself sitting on the bridge she'd often found herself at since the trolls had been stationed at the gate. "Bloody stupid trolls." She grumbled as she picked up a splintered off piece of the bridge and chunked it in their general direction and watched as it sailed into the water below. Sighing, green eyes lifted as she heard a familiar trill and gave a faint smile as her owl Athena landed on her knee and stared at her as if trying to make sure the blonde was ok. "I'm fine, I'm fine 'Thena. Just feelin' a wee bit nostalgic."

Another one. She knew the girls had to be tired of hearing Aurora's moans, of hearing Athena trill and flap her wings in her cage as her mistress tossed and turned locked in the nightmare that was on repeat almost anytime she closed her eyes. At least tonight she hadn't screamed. Aleah had woken her up that night and nearly got hit for it as her twin woke in a panic. Tonight though was just the sounds that woke her in a cold sweat as she massaged at the silver scars peeking over her shoulder. "Bloody hell, is this ever going to end?" She whispered as she sat up, rubbed her temples, and tried to get the image of that werewolf out her mind.

She'd failed him - those words echoed in her head as she hid at the top of the clocktower. She was a Prefect, she should have been able to do something! Her little brother could've been killed and Aurora hadn't been there to stop him. Or the others. Their mother's disappointed and angry words still echoed in her head as she buried her face in her knees. How would she be able to face Cressida Blackwood after she saw what happened to her baby boy?

Aurora may be an adult, with big responsibilities now as she chases her pro Quidditch dreams, but during the holidays she still makes time to go home. And those words echoed off the stone walls of the family keep when her brother stepped off the train in town moments before she flung herself in her big brother's arms for a bearhug. But once it was over and he set her down on her feet, did Lochlan Blackwood notice the silver peeking out from under her jumper and pulled it aside to see the scars for the first time. Getting the news via work vs seeing the marks in person she knew were different stories, and she gave him a one shoulder shrug at the face he made.
"You'd have done the same. Don't tell me otherwise." And that was that as she hauled him toward the street where the rest of the family waited.
"You do not fear, you do not falter. You do not yield. Remember that you are a wolf. And you cannot be caged."

The screams were heard accompanied by the sounds of bangs and explosions that suggested that part of the furniture, and even the building itself, was being destroyed. Doctors had alerted security that morning.The patients had started a rebellion. Patients who were being treated to reinsert into Society or, from another point of view, RDs (Reality Deviants) being lobotomised to give up their freedom and become part of what THEY call Masses.The eternal fight, the so-called Ascension War where Science (Technocracy) prevails over Magic or what they consider manipulation of reality or superstition.
And there he was, someone between both worlds, killing anyone he came across. Only leaving traces of pain and blood in his path, without apparent mercy or remorse and not caring to hear the threats coming from the other side, the screams from the underworld and where he was sending all those people who were now just remains of flesh, bones and guts decomposing on the floor and part of the walls.That place would never be the same again. Now it was home for those souls who would probably seek revenge. But then again, even if he was well aware of all that, he didn't seem to care, he was used to have enemies... of all sorts... and to be prepared for them.

Dejando tan solo rastros de dolor y sangre a su paso, sin aparente piedad o remordimiento y sin que le importara escuchar las amenazas que venían del otro lado, los gritos del mundo de los muertos y a donde estaba enviando a todas aquellas personas que ahora solo eran restos de carne, huesos y víscerasdescomponiéndose en el suelo y parte de las paredes. Aquel lugar ya no sería el mismo nunca más. Ahora era un hogar para esas almas que probablemente buscarían venganza. Pero de nuevo, aunque él ya conocía todo eso, parecía no importarle, estaba acostumbrado a tener enemigos...de todo tipo...y a estar preparado para ello.

With the Grecession going on, dementors have been popping up in Hogsmeade like weeds. It's made what would normally be a fun weekend trip away from school dangerous - especially for us who haven't learned or mastered our patronus charms. We do what we can though, and if one swoops down on us, we try to help each other and do our best to get out the way!

It was the last time that Aurora would be sitting here on the floor of a dorm in Slytherin sorting through her things and packing up what needed to go home. It was bittersweet, Hogwarts had been her home for the last seven years. Its walls had seen her triumph, find herself, find love. They'd witnessed her stumble and fall, only to grow stronger. And now she was having to say goodbye to them for a final time.
And she was not ready.
But a whole world and new chapter awaited her beyond the doors. And so with a heavy heart she packed up all her things before setting out to find Bree for a final night of mischief...

'The Last Patrol in Hogwarts'
Eric and Eilidh walked through the empty corridors of the castle...
It was quiet.. It was silent...
Their thoughts probably were on the same path: the last round.
Despite having only gotten closer over the last year, the prefect had discovered her appreciation of the Head Boy later than she had wanted...
If only they had talked more before...
...Eric would probably have ran away from Eilidh and never, ever, crossed in her path again.
But -unluckily for him- that was not the case and the feelings of sadness and 'Ah'll miss ye, pal' were definitely there...
Hopefully summer would bring new opportunities for them to cross their paths. Or at least that's what she hoped. She still hadn't pranked him properly, and that was something she needed to fix right away...!
Whatever the case, no matter how many time passed in between, she knew that the friendship they began to acquire wouldn't change. They would still be the same 'King of Nerds' and the 'Mischievous One' that crossed paths once upon a time in Hogwarts.
