Victoria to hold open houses for four cycling corridors
The City of Victoria is hosting four open houses so members of the public can provide feedback on the latest design concepts for four cycling corridors set for improvement in 2020.
The first open house is today 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Janion Plaza, 490 Pandora Ave. and Humboldt Street bike route.
The next projects in the 32-kilometre cycling network include Kimta Road, Government Street North, Richardson Street and the Kings Road/Haultain Street corridor, the city said in a statement.
N.B. The Humboldt corridor will form the southern edge of the downtown active transportation network and be a shared roadway where traffic calming will reduce vehicle speeds and traffic volumes to increase the level of comfort for people on bikes sharing the roadway with vehicles.

Costumes are the norm in Second Life. Every avie has a few in their inventory. I usually go to Grendel's Children for my costumes and avie fun. You will find everything there... from bugs to dragons and to strange creatures that only your imagination can create.
Halloween was celebrated over two days to honor the time zones around the world. So I needed two costumes!
First place we hit was an invite to DJ Psymonkey Alter, an old friend with a new avie! Hehehe... we won't go there...
He was spinning at Club Innocence w/ the awesome psy tunes that only he can spin.
Next stop was the Underground Club w/ DJ Moos Hultrcrantz. Mostly art and music crowd, and the costumes reflected their brand of creation. Very cool club.
But the big party was at Deviant by Riann Maltese. DJ Nebulae was spinning when we got there, and I think I saw everyone at that party.
Old friends MickyAB & Denny were there zoning out with a who's who of dj's that included Shad, Grip, Psygate and Elisha.
Drama was on the horizon this night, and it didn't end well for me as I left rather quickly... but all's well that ends well... so I say.

I am using the wonderful tool provided by Pussycat Catnap "Height Stick - with Average Human Heights" available free on Marketplace. It uses average height figures from around the world (source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_height). Just as in real life, my avatar is shorter than the average American woman.
