This is a beautiful scavenger that lives in our salt water tank. It is about one inch long in the shell, about two inches end to end when it has its foot out and working. It has some interesting habits. For instance, it works for about ten minutes, then buries itself in the coral rubble at the bottom of the tank for about the same length of time with its little snorkel projecting above the surface, presumably to breathe. Also, unlike most snails and snail-like creatures I've seen, this creature is quick. It can climb the 18-inch tankside in about four seconds.

I created this collage from a variety of my seashell photographs. The shells range from fairly common shells to some rare and poisonous shells with amazing colors, textures and patterns.
A group of adults gathered to make a shimmering seashell ornament to adorn their homes for the holiday & beyond.
Sea shells, including an ark (Arcoidea), coquinas (Donax variabilis) and an Atlantic calico scallop (Argopecten gibbus)
The shells she sells are surely seashells.
So if she sells shells on the seashore,
I'm sure she sells seashore shells.
My cameo is made from seashell and was a gift from my mother for my 16th birthday. I wear it almost everyday and it became a camera study for taking pictures in the fading light of dusk for practice purposes. Perfection shot it is not but practice it is. The silverwork was done by Daniel Olenik as he did the finishing touches on the cameo that was in his collection.
