Seals on bouy at Westport, WA

The seals were a small group compared to the sea lions. They stayed very close to the bouy, out of reach of the tourists, while the sea lions overran the docks of the commercial salmon fleet in the harbor, garnering the attention of curious onlookers.

Fur seals in Kaikoura, NZ displaying interesting behavior. Not sure if this was affectionate or aggressive behavior but they would lean on each other and sway back and forth side to side. It was fun to watch.

Cold water brings the seals to the bay.

While out in a boat hoping to spot dolphins we spotted this chap eyeing us from afar.

I loved his doleful eyes so snapped away.

Notice the two poor little pups that are in the process of being crushed. Fortunately, both guys escaped unharmed, but this can easily lead to death as these males don't care who gets in the way!

The seals at Ecomare each have their own tricks to getting food at feeding time, one raises a flipper, another spins, and another splashes repeatedly. Of course, the seagulls also have their tricks.
