I'm still sorting through all the seal shots, I seem to have taken quite a few..! Here's two to get started.
The coast next to the village, known as Horsey Dunes, is a major wildlife site. Grey Seals on Horsey Beach. During the months of November to January the colony heads on to the beach to give birth to seal pups. Taken in Iquique, in Chile. When the tide drops the sealions hang around in the habour basking in the sun.
Seals on Tentsmuir beach, Scotland
(Quality is poor due to being taken on a 4mega pixel camera at the top end of its zoom, not to mention lying down on my front in the sea, so as not to be seen by them!)
on the way to pipeline i had the luck to see this beached monk seal. don't worry, he's only sleeping.
This monk seal just crawled up on shore at one of the beaches we were at. They're pretty rare, and an endangered species.
