I took this photo on the 9th of August. The seals were in the Victoria Basin, Cape Town. Is there a group of people/organisation that checks up on the seals every now and then?

Always thankful that I carry a real camera around and not just a cell phone. The zoom is the only thing that lets me get close photos of these beautiful creatures. Hawaiian Monk Seal N58 sleeping on the rocks.

Halichoerus grypus, the biggest, fattest bull I have ever seen - travelling slowly along the beach, Donna Nook NNR, November 2009 (early in the breeding season).

You are getting sleepy... This northern elephant seal watched every move I made but didn't seem to be troubled by my presence.
