I spent well over an hour watching this seal diving close to the rocks.

Really cool day today. I dropped the wife off shopping in Llandudno and we arranged to meet up in one hour. Thought I could wander off somewhere and take a few snaps. Well you can imagine how surprised and excited when I came upon this lovely seal just sunbathing on the rocks. He let me get up close and wasnt really bothered. Just lifted his head up and checked I was still about every few minutes. He wansnt injured or anything, I did see him belly walking around during the 30 mins or so I had the pleasure of watching him. Cool afternoon.
More than 30 inpatients and family members were treated to a special visit and performance by Grammy-winning vocalist and singer-songwriter, Seal. The visit was hosted by the Music Therapy team, who offer Music Therapy and other forms of creative expression, which is an important part of the healing process. The services are offered by the Mark Taper-Johnny Mercer Artists Program at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
A grey seal pup me and some mates came across while exploring Lundy Island of the coast of North Devon. Its two parents watched us closely from the water close by as we climbed down a cliff to get a better look. The poor guy seemed to have a hard time moving over the boulders on the beach where it was and would frequently stop and

The grey seal (Halichoerus grypus, meaning "hooked-nosed sea pig")
In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the grey seal breeds in several colonies on and around the coasts. Notably large colonies are at Donna Nook (Lincolnshire)
The name is supposedly to be that of a ship called 'The Donna', part of the Spanish Armada, which sank off the Nook (a small headland) in 1588.
A leopard seal, one of Antarctica's fiercest predators, relaxes in "iceberg alley." Icebergs collect in this shallow section of the Lemaire Channel to form a natural sculpture garden.
