One of a test series of a Canon G10 lent me by my good friend SiCaTo.

Blackpool along the seafront and near by.

This picture shows the seafront at Thorpe Bay looking towards Southend. You can just about make out the pier in the distance. I was initially attracted to this image by the boats in the foreground. However, I wanted to show them in their environment rather than just photograph parts of them. I like this image as it shows not only the boats but the section of coastline, the promenade and the beach huts.

The Decadettes performed two sets of songs from the 1930's and 1940s outside Weymouth Pavilion for Armed Forces Day.

 

Saturday 18th June and Sunday 19th June were the Weymouth Armed Forces Day. It was on a smaller scale than normal due to COVID but it was wonderful have an event and clearly all those who attended were delighted to see it go ahead. The weekend has been organised by Weymouth Town Council and the Mayor, Cllr Colin Huckle was in attendence.

The village of Buma has been seeing an unprecedented increase in coastal erosion provoked by sea level rise, in the last decade. This has resulted in the loss of large trees which are now but stumps in the sand.

The only surviving pier in Brighton, this 1,760-foot structure replaced the wrecked Chain Pier.

Designed by Richard St George Moore (1858-1926).

Built by Arthur Mayoh of Manchester, 1891-99.

Features include various pavilions, kiosks with pagoda-style roofs and a funfair.
