White and Black Basilisk: Pair dolls, inspired by my current writing.
Materials: Faux fur/minky, epoxy putty, Sculpy clay, steel wire, quilt batting, acrylic paint, correction fluid, various varnishes
Time taken: ~5hrs (White), ~7hrs (Black).
Features: Highly poseable bodies (particularly Black Basilisk, due to his longer limbs) , glass bead eyes
This shows some of the process. The catchers helmet grill was covered in mesh to have something to glue and sew onto. The sunglass lenses were glued in place and leather used to trim the eyelids and lips. the teeth and nose made from sculpy were also glued in place.
My friend Bryan & I placed "Sculpy" (the sculpture I made) in the K-State Union parking lot at 3 a.m. one day, unapproved and unsolicited. It remained for a couple years.
Here, my dad and brother and I finally take Sculpy down, as they're building a new parking garage on the premises.
I made the mushrooms & gnome out of sculpy, molded them around the tops of long nails to stick them into the dirt, and painted them with acrylics.

The Three R's - multimedium on 4'x3' plywood. collage of thousands of eyes was manually generated by hand placing eyes in photoshop. The final result was then applied to the plywood and painted over in orange.
Gramps: Acrylic on 4'x3' canvas. An art school project in which I painted from a source image my Grandpa accidentally took of himself with my camera.

Homage to Picasso: Inspired by Picasso's guitar sculptures I painted this piece using acrylic on 4'x2' plywood. If you look carefully you can spot the guitar player playing for a girl lounging on the steps.
Puzzle - Painted for my wife on 4'x3' plywood. Heart puzzle piece physically removed after painting at replaced on left side.
this is a picture of the completed bracelet showing the front and finished back of the bracelet. polymer clay tile beads useing TLC and transfer technique with laser printer, shabby cottage studio valentine collage sheets were used for the images, glass beads and silver findings were used between the tile beads, tile beads were finished using sculpy gloss finish
My daughter has this white porcelain cat, for years.it has some sentimental value to her. First it was dropped and chipped his ear. She cried, I healed him with some sculpy....

I loved making this guy. I used super sculpy for the hands and feet, and wool felt mix for the ears. I then painted the inside of the ear and used sculpy glaze to finishe them.
The body is wired and this guy is very posable.
It was fun to use differant mediums on him.

Week 2: 1/16 piece of Primo Sculpy block. Can fit on a quarter, as demonstrated.
I need to get a closer shot of the mouth of this'n, because it totally has one. The better to pry shellfish open with.
