I made this adobe roombox years ago. It has paper mache clay over wood walls. The floor is foam core that I painted. I believe that the fireplace has a Fimo or Sculpy type base with a cut down paper towel tube for a chimney. I then put the paper mache over it and painted it.
Bethlehem cheese stand by creche artist Bill Egan. Fontanini figure has been repainted. Cheese is made from Sculpy clay.
The rib cage is sculpy and is sewn on, the guts are plasticine.
Note- these are the three part 'skinny' jeans as discussed in class!
Sun Dragons get their name from the way light makes their eyes shine. They are the most commonly found of the BEC's. They are all brightly colored, but colors and patterns change with each hatching. A Sun Dragon's favorite thing to do is to bask on a rock in a brightly lit spot. This baby Sun Dragon has just sprouted wings. This means he's ready to fly, but not strong enough to get very far.
I primarily work with river rocks, glass marbles and a polymer clay. I like working with polymer clay because it stays soft until cured in an oven. My favorite brand is Fimo, because it works really well for caning (aka millefiori). This technique allows me to create a block of clay that I can cut into slices with a repeating pattern. All of my creatures have been created using this technique.
Special Notes About This Piece:
Sun Dragons have marbles for eyes that catch the light and make the eyes appear to be glowing. They are made with polymer clay and the scale designs are made with a technique called Millefiori.
Made out of gray and blue clay with a clear marble.
The wings were made with Liquid Sculpy so that they would be translucent and flexible.
Approx. Dimensions: 1.5" H x 1.5" W x 2" D
Ok, she's my favorite from this old collection! I related to her as i was newly married at the time and planning my family while i made her. So there's allot of good juju in this figure.
about 9"x9"x12". She is made of paperclay, cloth, oil painted. Substructure is cardboard, celluclay, wire, metal tubing. Base is madrona wood.

The actress was Rachel Weiss? I think that's her name. It was so fun to see the sculpy master sculpts go from soft clay to finished piece-- well, and then get blown up on set...
I just painted him, need to make a fresh video, he's blue and red now... ;)
And Yeah, it really smokes and works.
based on sticker designs by my friend Camo in Germany. I know it's not as good as his designs are shaped, but its my representation of it, (and this sculpting is all new to me, I'm a writer, not graff, story, tale, song and poems, shit like that, just began sculpting recently, so gimme sum props.) CHeck me out here to see more stuff I"m working on, I'm planning on getting all super famous maybe next year or the year after... I'm not too sure I want all that attention on me yet... so I don't publish 4/5's of my work... Maybe one day I will. peace, and much love
I built this model over 40 years ago as a prop for a Super 8 film project. Over the years it got pretty beat up and lost some teeth. I made the missing teeth out of Sculpy, then sanded and primed it. I finished it with Krylon Gloss Dover White, shaded it with raw umber water based oil, then dull coated it.

Just finished this little gal this morning. She’s sculpted out of Super Sculpy Firm before being painted and feathered. At just under two inches tall this little birdy’s a hoot! Inspired by a small Native American owl sculpture I picked up a few years ago at the Heard Museum Gift Shop in Phoenix Arizona.
These hang out on my desk here, subject to destruction and re-creation at any time boredom or frustration strike. They were what you saw through my water bottle.
This guy is my first experiment in the realm of action figure customizing. Base Torsos and Legs (from a couple random Star Wars figures I had lying around) sculpted over with Sculpy clay and the head is cast in Smooth-On plastic from an alginate mold from a Schleich Wolf I have; then sculpted over again with Sculpy to make stronger.
(Wings are from a GI Joe figure)
This is just my first experiment in using pre-fabricated parts to create my own creature.
Stay tuned for more!
