Today I was even sadder than yesterday.

I did nice things for Sam, like his laundry and buying him CDs and burning one for him for his drive to work.

Then at night, I drowned my sorrows in a bottle of Mad Dog and then cried my feelings out to Sam about how shitty it was to live here and I couldn't take it and I didn't know what to do.

He makes me happy.

This is my entry in the Monthly Scavenger Hunt Pool for both multicolored and the look.

my daughter just celebrated her birthday and one of the things I did for her was a DIY birthday card with some bakeable clay so she could make a paw impression from her new puppy - Bruce. Will no doubt have pics of that in the future.

This is the smallest handmade doll I have and she came from Vermont. She is made from cloth covered wire and her face feels like sculpy to me. She is even poseable. At about 4.5 cm she is amazing and cute as well.

Finally figured out how to do the base for the sign poll. I ended up going with a "concrete" formed base, which I suddenly remembered seeing on similar moveable signs at car washes and the like. I made the base using super sculpy pressed into a form. I then painted it with some light matt gray paint with a mixture of baking soda and corn starch for the texture. Finally just went over it with some browns and blacks to weather it a bit.

You can also see the base for the billboard, it's just a pretty simple slab of wood with holes drilled into it for the two posts.

This Christmas bracelet is new for 2010. It has many new charms, made of polymer clay and, chrystal ornaments with silver bead caps.

This old gentleman sits behind the counter of my miniature craft store. I made him in the early 80's from Sculpy clay and wire. He is 6" tall.

A couple of conter marker beasties that I created for the game Primordial Soup. Sculpy is FUN!

Bashitor was influenced by the awesome monsters that super hero's fight in Japanese live action shows.

This figure was sculpted by hand out of sculpy. Painted with acrylic and enamel.

made out of sculpy

Soon to be on my Etsy, I love these little guys! The Lilac one is mine, the rest will be for sale for $16-$20. Better photos up soon!

Experimenting with Sculpy again

Today i paint this little fellow - i sculpted him with super sculpey. But after baking it became spotted - i guess i did not knead sculpey efficient. So i had to paint him. After finished this i will stitch him some clothes. Maybe his temper will become better then ;o)

Soon in my Etsy shop. See my profile for details

Painting baby-fish deities with a shitload of paint markers!

If you're in Melbourne (Australia) in March check out No Vacancy Gallery in Jane Bell Lane, QV, Melb CBD! Catch a peek of this little guy completed & the many other little illustrated babies... There'll be heaps of different painted dolls from a range of illustrators, some big names perhaps too........

Stay tuned, ay! I'll reveal more later.

Love this one, also Sculpy and painted

This was a gift for a fellow employee for Christmas. It was pieced together from a baby doll head, a decorative candle holder, a glass vase, an actual branch, wire, salt, and some sculpy. the vein-like curls coming out of the mouth are the only things sculpted.

Painted with enamel and sharpie.

Super cute cinnamoroll kawaii charms. Handmade by me from polymer clay. These charms are varnished also.

Baby Cinnamoroll is attached to a baby blue cell phone strap to match the baby blue dummy, and cappuccino charm is attached to a baby pink cell phone strap.

Before purchasing please read my store policies.

QUENTIN THE HOMOSEXUAL KITTY

Sculpted by jon... from sculpy

This is one of my first artist dolls, she was exhibited at the Santa Fe Doll Art Show and won second place in the competition!

about 7"x17"x20". She is made of Cernit, cloth, rabbit fur, antique trims, oil painted. Substructure is sculpy, wire, cloth, fiber fill, metal tubing. Base is wood.

in private collection

This Sun Dragon has decided to bask on a magnetic rock! He's hoping to use it to create a horde of paper clips ...or maybe straight pins. The magnet is very strong so I don't think he's going to have much trouble getting a nice big pile of metal to lord over. (This magnet is so strong I won't let him bask very close to my computer.)

Made out of orange and red Fimo with a clear marble.

The wings were made with Liquid Sculpy so that they would be translucent and flexible.

Approx. Dimensions: 1.5" H x 1" W x 1.75" D

I’ve had these little guys finished for just a few weeks, but with classes starting this week I thought I’d take the time to post them. I believe the first time I heard about these creatures, known as Tardigrades, Water Bears, or Moss Piglets was on either Animal Planet, or the Discovery Channel. Fascinating little critters, if you are unfamiliar with them, take a look; you’ll fall in love with them too, I promise: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tardigrade

Anyway, this figure was sculpted with Sculpy clay and prepared for the molding process. I made a two-part rubber block mold using Polytek 74-30 Mold Rubber. The cast positives are made of Easy-Flo Clear Plastic, another Polytek product. From start to finish, the process from sculpting to the finished figure took about a week.

first attempt at modding elf ears. I just used sculpy, so it is very temp, but it's good for practicing.

I think it came out ok...I need to learn how to smooth it better..but I feel that when I use epoxy clay it will be easier..and I can always sand it smooth after it sets. *shrug*

But more practice is needed!
