This scroll had been wall decoration at my grandmother's house for years. I was astounded at what the 'Landscape Mixer' in the new Neural Filters could do to it. (I'm thinking Mark Noack will be encouraging me to 'get with the program, Dave!')

18th March last I spend a photo weekend at Terschelling with photobuddy Sander Grefte. We were dreaming of a stunning sunset but during the day we knew that wouldn't happen. Despite the weather, at least it was dry, we went up and together after a nice 4x4 Landrover drive we had an unforgettable evening!
At that evening I couldn't imagine that this shot would be nominated for best Landscape photo for National Geographic in 2017's contest. Okay I choose it myself for this contest, because I like the leading line and tones, but that this image can be with 14 other great shots in this famous Landscape contest, nope.....

A picturesque view from the top of the Whitireia*** Park Reserve - a hill that blocks the shallow Porirua Harbour and the Pauatahanui Inlet (where I do a lot of birding) from the Tasman Sea. Plimmerton - a small northwestern suburb of Wellington - can be seen across the water...!
*** "Whitireia" is pronounced "Whiti - re - a".

I can confirm that the boatsheds featured in the previous photo are not sheds for boats, but if you want a comfortable day at the beach, here's your chance. The "sheds" have power, a kitchenette, living area and a shower, but no bedroom. That's because Owners are not permitted to use the sheds as accommodation.
The shed featured in the advertisement below is a double shed. It's current owners are asking $130,000 or near offer... Such a price suggests that the successful purchaser would have to be willing to have a very expensive day at Titahi Bay...!!!
