In 1997, William McIlvanney led a group of fellow artists on a bus tour round Scotland in the run up to the referendum on the Scottish Parliament. They were listening to local people’s views on the kind of Scotland they wanted to live in after the referendum, whether they were voting Yes or No.
In May 2014 the Bus Party Listening Lugs tour went from Stromness to Stirling visiting 16 venues asking “What kind of Scotland do we want?” Artists included James Robertson, Karine Polwart, Billy Kay, Hamish Moore, Neal Ascherson and David Francis among others.
In April 2015 the Bus Party held a final event at the University of Scotland asking people again 7 months after the referendum "what kind of Scotland do we want?". The Bus Party collection relating to 1997 and 2014 is now held within the SPA archive.
The Scottish Political Archive is housed at the University of Stirling. The archive is home to the oral interviews, personal papers and associated material from prominent Scottish politicians. The newly reopened Bode — Berlin's massive art museum covering European and Byzantine works from BC to the Rennaissance period.
After buying the first two I saw this one and rather liked it. This ended up being the most expensive of the four at $32. This hanging scroll was drawn about 70 years ago. The bamboo is drawn. A painter does not understand. But . Anyway, this is the Japanese painting drawn seriously. There are a wrinkles.But it is still hung enough.

Scroll of Fire is a monument found in the Jerusalem hills, and it commemorates Jewish history from The Holocaust until Independence. The monument was inaugurated in 1971.
The initiative for the monument came from B'nai B'rith of the United States, and was funded by them. The monument was sculptured by the artist Nathan Rapoport, who is a Holocaust survivor.
One of the scrolls describes the Holocaust and the other describes independence. In the space between the two scrolls, there are two rooms of memorial, and in each one is engraved a quote from the bible.

Nearly 500 Clemson University graduates who died in service to their country were remembered Thursday during dedication ceremonies for the Scroll of Honor. Clemson President James Barker and selected dignitaries unveiled two purple-shrouded tiger statues as a crowd of up 1,000 applauded and stood at attention. To date 470 names are etched into the stone scroll. There are 27 names from WWI; one from the Nicaraguan campaign; 378 from WWII; 17 more from Korea; one, that of a pilot, from the Cuban missile crisis; 25 from the Vietnam War: and 19 from the Cold War era and the wars on terror. Two additional names were added just as the ceremony took place. The Clemson Corps, organized in 1999, is responsible for maintaining the Scroll of Honor records. The corps is associated with the Clemson Alumni Association and helps raise funds for the preservation of ClemsonÕs military history and the creation of scholarships for ROTC cadets..

The right section of the scroll is the rural area of the city. There are crop fields and unhurried rural folk - predominately farmers, goatherds, and pig-herders - in bucolic scenery.

A beautiful mint green cotton fabric in a pink floral and brown scroll accented with golden tones print. There is a lining of cotton batting underneath for added softness. It is surounded with a border of elegant pink gimp ribbon and a pink velvet ribbon crosses over the top of the case. The case is finished off with a beautiful round rhinestone accent.

URBANE PSYCHONAUTEN
Vergleichbar mit einem Astronauten, der sich in die Weiten des Weltraums begibt, reist ein Psychonaut in die Tiefen der eigenen Psyche. Die imaginäre psychonautische Landkarte schließt dabei als Pole eines kaum zu überblickenden inneren Raumes beglückende Bereiche und bedrohliche Abgründe mit ein.
Meist sind die psychonautischen Reisen für Außenstehende nur schwer nachvollziehbar. Manchmal entsprechen sie dem Durchschreiten eines durchlässigen Spiegels. In anderen Momenten finden sie auf grauen Betonmauern einen kreativen Ausdruck.
Die individuelle Motivation für den gezielten Übergang in einen transzendenten Bewusstseinszustand kann sehr unterschiedlich sein. Verbindend ist vielfach die Sehnsucht nach der Erfahrung des inneren Fließens, wie es beispielsweise während eines Trance-Tanzes oder einer sexuellen Verschmelzung empfunden werden kann.
Es ist jedoch ein Trugschluss zu glauben, dass es möglich ist, sich diesem inneren konkreten Utopia auf einer rein persönlichen Ebene anzunähern und dabei die gesellschaftliche Realität zu verdrängen. Über die momentane Erfahrung hinausgehend ist ein Freiraum notwendig, der in der Wechselbeziehung zwischen persönlicher Entwicklung und gesellschaftlicher Veränderung wurzelt.
Das konkrete Utopia als ein Ort auf der psychonautischen Landkarte wird erst dann erfahrbar, wenn es gelingt Vision und Realität konsequent miteinander zu verbinden.

URBAN PSYCHONAUTS
Like an astronaut who travels through the vastness of outer space, a psychonaut travels to the depths of his or her own psyche. The imaginary psychonautical map comprises the poles of an almost incomprehensible inner realm containing pleasing areas as well as dangerous abysms.
Mostly it's not possible for an outstanding person to follow such psychonautical journeys. Sometimes they are like a flow through a permeable mirror. In other situations they find on concrete walls creative expressions.
The individual motivation for a well directed transition into a transcendental state of consciousness and thus a psychonautical journey may vary largely. A connection is often found in a subliminal level in the search of a concrete inner utopia as a place on the psychonautical map, which detached from external repressive structures and inner emotional blockage opens a feeling of flowing.
A fundamental first step on the long way is realizing that it is possible to approach this utopia through personal practice and social change, as distant and suppressed as it may seem from the outside. We may reach the stars, but only if we really try.
