The unwritten scripture of this sad song is but a chaotic, dark chorus, slight hymns broken in half, pianos fluttering deeply— inconspicuously teetering in obscure black waters, i am gliding on the glossy, rich and endless night shore, miles to go before i see.
1 Corinthians 5:7–8 (ESV)
7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 8 Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
[Galatians 5:13-18 NIV]
5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)
2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)
3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)
4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)
5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)
Read the Bible for yourself. Allow the Lord to speak to you through his Word. YOUR ETERNITY IS AT STAKE!
This is the Bible my grandparents gave me when I was 9. It's King James Version. I needed a shot like this for my newsletter so decided to create my own rather than search for one.
SCRIPTURE – John 20:19-31
On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.” A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

I am super pleased to present to you my "Rotunda Love Typeface". This very bold and aggressive typeface was designed using a 6.0mm pilot parallel calligraphy pen using a very low 3.75 x height.
Why call it "Rotunda Love Typeface"? Two reasons... I actually LOVE the bold appearance of the rotunda typeface. I should mention that within the rotunda typeface there are many such as the Northern Italy predominant style with soft flowing strokes, to the Spanish rotunda with harsh square ends. This brings me to the second reason... This typeface is based on the 12th century formal calligraphy as well as from modern work from Anthony Hostovechy, who I originally learned calligraphy from in the 1980s. Anthony did a piece called Love, based on the St. Paul's Corinthians New Testament Scripture. The original was over 10 feet tall and painted with a brush. It is a beautiful piece that my father purchased a reproduction and framed. That single piece of calligraphy inspired me to pursue this field of calligraphy, and that is why I love this typeface and respectfully titled my artistic impression of this "Rotunda Love".
I need to address the capitals. I have never found a set of Rotunda capitals that I liked until now. These capitals are based on 12th century formal capitals. But the difference is that I completely customized each one to give an aggressive look that goes with the lower case set. I also had to invent special characters for V and W since these didn't exist back then. In total there are over 150 characters that make up this "Rotunda Love Typeface", and it is commercially available if you are interested. Perfect for book covers, movie titles, chapter headings, complete poems or any kind of religious scripture. This high fidelity set is available for use in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, GIMP and Inkscape.

The sounds of chanting that drift from the main hall are mesmerising, and it felt such a privilege to be permitted not only to observe the pious lives of the Jewel Temple's resident monks, but also to photograph them as they went about their daily rituals.
