Psalm 23:4

This is a Pachybrachis spp., the genus known as "scriptured leaf beetles"! I believe him to be a Pachybrachis peccans, specifically, though it's nearly impossible to pinpoint without a high magnification shot of their undercarriage. I spotted this guy exploring a volunteer ironweed (Vernonia spp.) in the yard, which tracks for their feeding habits. They are generalist herbivores a adults, munching on just about anything that grows in this area. With the rewilding I have going on, he has plenty to pick from! Luckily, they aren't too severe with their damage. Rather, they leave the "shot holes" in my plants that I've described before.
When I set up to take this shot, I was so focused on nailing the resolution of his eye, that I failed to notice his passenger! On the right hand side of his thorax, just above the elytra, he has an aphid hitching a ride! The aphids are sapsuckers, instead of vegetation eaters, so there is no competition happening here. They will hop on to non-predatory insects nearby for a ride to nearby plants, and I suppose this one chose to ride in style!
Aphid aside, you can really see why they earned their name "scriptured". The intricate markings are oddly reflective in person! Not quite metallic, but they surely have a faint shimmer from different angles, which makes this guy almost look like a living vein of gold ore!

I'd often wonder how a man could take such trials and yet remain upright and honor God...that is until I realized that Job, feared the Lord, and trusted Him fully. His wellspring of wisdom and faith was from His fear of the Lord....something seldom taught today within the walls of the church.
There's the Fear of God...where His majesty, His holiness, His awesomeness lies. Then there is HIS LOVE, His mercy...His Grace..

The lost soul can run to God will full confidence when they plead the work of Christ as their hope. That work gives spiritual life! We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.
6-7 When we suffer for Jesus, it works out for your healing and salvation. If we are treated well, given a helping hand and encouraging word, that also works to your benefit, spurring you on, face forward, unflinching. Your hard times are also our hard times. When we see that you’re just as willing to endure the hard times as to enjoy the good times, we know you’re going to make it, no doubt about it.

The Garden of Gethsemane became a focal site for early Christian pilgrims. It was visited in 333 by the anonymous "Pilgrim of Bordeaux", whose Itinerarium Burdigalense is the earliest description left by a Christian traveler in the Holy Land. In his Onomasticon, Eusebius of Caesarea notes the site of Gethsemane located "at the foot of the Mount of Olives", and he adds that "the faithful were accustomed to go there to pray".
Eight ancient olive trees growing in the Latin site of the garden may be 900 years old (see § Olive trees).[10]
In 1681 Croatian knights of the Holy Order of Jerusalem, Paul, Antun and James bought the Gethsemane Garden and donated it to the Franciscan community, which owns it to this day. A three-dimensional plate on the right side next to the entrance to the garden describes the aforementioned gift to the community.[11]
Gethsemane is the name of the garden, as written in the New Testament, where Jesus prayed last before His arrest (Mark 14:32-42) From the Scriptures we read; Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray." He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me." Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Matthew 26:36-39.
The Mount of Olives, located to the east of Jerusalem, separates the Holy City from the Judean Desert which from there it begins its descent to the Dead Sea. The Kidron Valley, which surrounds Jerusalem to the east, separates the Mount of Olives from the city and from the nearby Mount Zion, located to the south, from where Jesus set off on foot after the Last Supper, crossing the Valley to reach Gethsemane. The garden is located at the entrance of the property of the sanctuary of Gethsemane, occupying an area of approximately 1,200 square meters and protected by a fence that allows holy land visitors to walk around the ancient olive trees.
