John A. Higgins, my father's uncle (and therefore my great uncle) passed away on March 18, 2019 at 86 years old.
His death occurred in Ypsilanti, Michigan, his funeral was in Northville, Michigan, and he is buried in the National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
While scripture was read in the pavillion, and before his ashes were interred, an unplanned Bald Eagle flew up from a nearby pond, soared back and forth before our eyes, and then flew off.
