Here's one of the Scribbles inside the smallest book. I mainly use Conté crayons which are a type of artists pastels made in France.
Mixed media.
Machine embroidery on to calico. Decorated with pen and paint.
I have been unable to draw or stitch for some time, so this is part of a loosening up exercise before I start my election piece.
Sorry this is sideways, I can't flip it! Anyway, at the art exhibit, we walk into this room and ze arteest is sitting at a desk. He scribbles on a piece of paper, scans it, crumbles it up in a ball and then throw it at a couple basketball hoops at the other end of the room. One person asked him how long he had to do that for and his reply was "I'm here until the end of November". Wow! Weird, but cool, plus the guy was really hot. By that I mean pleasing to look at, like a fine piece of art...
