THE WIND stops, the wind begins.
The wind says stop, begin.
A sea shovel scrapes the sand floor.
The shovel changes, the floor changes.
The sandpipers, maybe they know. 5
Maybe a three-pointed foot can tell.
Maybe the fog moon they fly to, guesses.
The sandpipers cheep “Here” and get away.
Five of them fly and keep together flying.

Curls on the sand when the sea leaves
The salt tide without a good-by.
Boxes on the beach are empty.
Shake ’em and the nails loosen.
They have been somewhere.

Scribbly Gum refers to a number of eucalypts that are host to the creatively named Scribbly Moth (Ogmograptis scribula). The larvae eat the tree, leaving these cool 'scribbles' on the surface.
I just love the smooth, grainy texture of the trunk against the peeling, patterned bark.
Apparently when the larva is about half grown, it turns around and goes back parallel to its original track (I wonder why?!)
As I've had a few HDRs recently, this one is literally straight out of the camera.

Experimenting with vector simplication and blending the path outlings for this result. Maybe a tad abstract, but that's what I'm going after. Still a work in progress. :)
I asked the boyfriend to draw on my chest with a ballpoint pen, then mimicked his designs with eyeliner. We're fun like that.
Putting pen to tablecloth, literally, at the Women's Cycle Forum at The Ukrainian Club in Edinburgh. This was about letting loose with our burning issues to do with cycling and brainstorming possible solutions.
