Almost eighteen years ago, this scribble was the start of a composition which was to become the nearest thing I’ve experienced to a ‘hit’ (hah!), the up-and-down riff here being one of its characteristics. Since then it has been published, and has been performed many times around the country, the most exciting that I witnessed being a performance in the grand, Victorian opulence of Leeds Town Hall with massed school choirs and full orchestral arrangement. Definitely one of life’s little ‘highs’ that will forever stay with me!

The title of the piece? We-––––ll, that’s a mere detail really... and, as you know, I’m very shy and retiring (though, sadly, not retiring on royalties!!).

JICK on back of Uhaul

Testing my Copic multiliner SP

10 tings:

I) Ive got a slight thing for roman numerals

II) I have entered into a sacred pact to never see the movie Titanic & I will go to my grave before its lameness enters my body.

III) me and the reverend Mark (who is jewish) just went to town on chinese food; egg roll, beef & broccoli, 10 ingredient fried rice & soup.. I got half and half egg drop won ton and it was absolutely killer.

IV) I found out tonight that the reverend Mark has also vowed never to see Titanic.

V) I drink more water than you can possibly imagine. through this practice I have developed the metabolism of a water buffalo. I have no factual basis for this statement but I believe it to be true.

VI) I love cranking up the volume & watching 'the walking dead' and scaring the shit out of murph with the surround sound. ok it pretty much scares the shit out of me too. plus zombies are sloppy eaters.

VII) I am semi-obsessive compulsive about a few things, such as brushing my teeth, cleaning the kitchen & the significance of random numbers. (pre LOST, post PI)

VIII) I am addicted to the veggie max sub from subway & even tho its cheap its still pretty fucking horrible that im in NYC eating subway. oh well, I fucking love it.

IX) I really enjoy being sleep deprived. it makes everything feel as ridiculous as it really is. so here I am.

X) coconut water is the truth and my favorite brand 'vita coco' followed me on twitter even though my tweet that coconut water is the truth did not specify a brand. thats some coco-kismet.

cheers, lovas.
