Yesterday I joined Parliament of Feathers at the 'The Exchange' at Blank Studios and Gallery in Portslade, Brighton. The premise of the event is free, you exchange a skill for another skill. There are workshops on screenprinting, cooking, knitting, walking slowly and various other bits 'n' pieces. Go along and support Parliament of Feathers and/or learn something new.
I finally learnt how to screen print, and what you see on this picture is my first attempt. I'm now the best screenprinter ever, but won't be making it anymore than a hobby as I'm back into 5-a-side as the King has his scouts everywhere.

The aim was to provide a simple and playful logo-type which reflects the essence of the brand. As part of the collateral I shot some images for her latest collection.

This bold new logo was developed to coincide with the longtime Iowa City area screenprinter's growth into the retail Hawkeye apparel business.

Here, the 2nd color film is taped onto the registration print, the next / 2nd color is a cardinal red.
I can move the print with the film under my screen and see exactly where I want to print and have perfect registration.

FSSL came to us with 2 weeks to go before their Championships - and told us their screenprinter had dumped out on them. So, in less than 2 weeks, I designed this logo from scratch and had a few hundred t-shirts printed front and back completed the project with time to spare. The back listed about 500 names. I've uploaded that as well just so you can see how much type setting was involved. I think this logo came out great.

French screenprinters Le Cagibi (here with Jon and Rainey) came to Seattle to make prints, but also to cook!
We tried a slightly different version of the "Downtube Shifter" shirt which we had printed by Cafe Press. It's closer to the original artwork, but they don't look to be quite as colorfast as the silkscreened version done by our surfing screenprinter. This is also the highest quality shirt Cafe Press uses, which is still a lighter cotton than the Hanes Beefy-T's that we've been doing.
It does contrast nicely with the cap.
OWS Screenprinters busted out the MLK graphic, which reads "freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed"
