It's 150 square feet, the largest size allowed by Woodsmoke. And it's probably my favorite place to be much of the time. There's another stone walkway going around the left side of the trailer too.

I burnt the screen!

During 1993 through 1998 a neighbor's cat named Sweetie would visit us. He would tap on the screen with his claws, and eventually did a bit of damage. Finally in 2008 we are repairing the claw marks.

Sweetie would sit on the planter to the lower left, and tap on the screen.

Sweetie was an intact male. In 1998, his desire to wander overcame him, and he went feral (wild). Given the shorter life expectancy of feral cats, he has almost certainly transitioned to the next world. Here's to your memory Sweetie, until the time we meet again!

A fine example of medieval oak carving. Look for the carved faces on the doors. The screen separates the Nave from the Quire.

Now I have to get the cables and power up to the plate.

Screening out winter.

This weekend we travelled to Calgary, where we visited an excessively pricey "eurasian antiques" showroom (the Buhran Gallery) - and I got the chance to play with my new camera.

2011 NPS Archaeological stewardship at Merrie Way, Lands End, San Francisco.

In the mid 1890s, there was a small amusement park and concession stands called Merrie Way, just above the Sutro Baths in San Francisco. These stands lasted until about 1920. We are currently excavating at the site of the concession stands at Merrie Way, at the site of a future Visitor Center at Lands End.
