These 17 screen grabs are from the first four episodes of the first season of a sit-com entitled "Wrecked", which is a reimagined version of "Gilligan's Island". A plane full of passengers on their way to Thailand crashes into a remote tropical island. Little by little, the surviving passengers gather their wits, take stock of their situation and consider themselves very fortunate to have survived. Among the debris of dead bodies, parts of the plane and lots of passengers' luggage, they find the liquor cart used by the flight attendants to make drinks for the passengers and pass out snacks, food, peanuts, etc. Happy at being alive, they eat and drink everything they find. A night of drunken revelry follows and the next morning they wake up hung over and fully aware of their dire situation. The first season starts from there. From what I have seen, it's actually funny in a dark way.
The second season will air in January.

This is the supposed non adhesive screen protector that was on my iPhone. When I went to remove it it left sticky residue in my iPhone which nearly ruined it. I was able to eventually clean the screen using Uni-Solve Adhesive Remover Wipes, found in a surgical pharmacy. You can see the sticky crap on this and of looked exactly the same in my iPhone. I thought it was ruined. The screen protector came from Griffin Tech.
On the last Saturday of the month the 4th Floor hosts two back to back workshops: Screen Printing with Katie Howell, and Zine Making with the Society of Ink and Paper. Here are some fun mixed media posters the staff worked on during the January workshop.
What a fantastic day as science fiction and movie fans from all over the North East got to meet at North Shields. It was a fantastic day and my personal highlight was a meeting with the legendary David Warner. Loved meeting up with old friends and meeting some new ones too
St Mary, Woolpit, Suffolk
St Barbara, St Felix, St Mary Magdalene, St Peter.
St Mary's church is visible from miles away, the 1870s spire by Diocesan Architect Richard Phipson looking as if it is on a Suffolk holiday from the Nene Valley.
The outstanding feature of the church is one of the half-dozen best medieval roofs in England, a double-hammer beam affair with angels and Saints, of great intricacy and beauty.
Most visitors will remember the bench ends, some of which are 15th century, and others the work of the great 19th century Ipswich wood carver Henry Ringham. There is a rather alarmingly repainted rood screen, and loads of little details to wander past and wonder at. A Premiership church, as far as Suffolk is concerned.
The village name is derived from the word wolf, a reminder that these animals only became extinct in England in the 16th century. The village is also associated with the Green Children, a feral boy and girl who arrived from out of nowhere, were talk to speak, and were brought up by the villagers.

2 sec exposure of my Mac's OSX screen saver. Any other pic I tried just didn't even come close to this one. Just loved the spiraling square shapes.
Te Papa and Maungarongo (Ron) Te Kawa ran a screen-printing workshop in Christchurch that produced t-shirts, cushions covers, scarves, and a Freedom Banner, printed with amazing designs and patterns from many countries.

scan of a silk screen piece I did when I was in college. This looks like it was probably 7 layers, 5 layers of dark gray to white, and then one rainbow roll of blue and purple and then a last layer of spot gloss. This piece was printed on a bunch of different colored papers as well as different rainbow roll colors.
Now I have notice that people are not intrested in my screen printing 365's like they are other peoples supply pictures of buttons and such, so I tried to make it more interesting.. though I fell into the trap of thinking looking at things through a microscope is interesting, whereas most people are not sad like me and do not .
So tomorrow we'll be looking and buttons and wool through a microscope.
