The Simpsons Ride, Universal Studios Florida

It was a night of heroes. After a toast with Matt Groening, the creator of The Simpsons, I had a good talk with Danny Hillis (background), and learned that he had hired Richard Feynman at Thinking Machines over a 7 year stretch of summer jobs. So we formed an ad-hoc Feynman fan club cluster and used our limbs to form a Feynman diagram of sub-atomic particles.

This guy was scratching his head with his hind flipper - soooo cute!

So Panties only likes scratching rugs, particularly the front door mat that is made of the same stuff as this. So I decided that if she has her own rug, she may spare the rest of them. So far, it is a success.

Among the model railways was Scratchy Bottom Halt. This is in Gn15 scale (usually 1:24 scale running on 16.5 mm (OO/HO) track. This is inspired by the railway cartoons of Rowland Emett, who also produced the wondrous Oyster Creek and Far Tottering Branch Railway at the Festival of Britain in 1951.
