Early experiments..
Used keys, sand paper, and even a cheese grater (the useless side for making breadcrumbs)

As a city girl, I am endlessly fascinated by the presence of livestock in the middle of the suburbs. Driving by, I saw a herd near the road and was able to take the time for this shot.

The trees were so low that in the wind the ends of the branches scratch on the ice and look like scratches fingernails would make on a chalkboard. Taken with a Nikon F2.
