The other night, I'm coming in with the dogs from taking them for the last walk before heading to bed, and out of the corner of my eye I see fur... quick moving fur right outside my door, in the hallway, at the top of the stairs. Then, before I know it, I hear a hiss, Turk lunges, his tail wagging like crazy, like... "oooh, looky Dad, Christmas came early!" The hiss was what finally clued me in to what was going on and thank goodness I still had the dogs on their leashes. Normally I let the dogs off leash as soon as I come into the building, because it's not typically fun being dragged up the stairs by three sighthounds. But it had been a bit muddy outside, and I decided to keep them close so I could wipe their feet before going in. Luckily for the cat, I somehow managed to get the dogs inside before any real damaged was done, but for the record, TURK 0, CAT 1. Damn you cat. Damn you.

Had my curtain repaired by Nikon, and they scratched the Sensor! Had it back for 3 months, just wrote it off as welded dust, but got frustrated and looked at it with a loupe and it is a SCRATCH! Having no way of proving this, I am probably going to have to pay Nikon to fix thier mistake.
*Note, I use a rocketblower for most of my dust issues, and Sensor Swabs, with Eclipse for the tough stuff. Spare me messages saying I did this, no one swipes the swab UP on the sensor.*

We watched this elephant coming in to the Nebrowni waterhole near Okaukuejo camp from way in the distance. It was a delight all the way. It had a dust bath en route then a good scratch before stopping at the waterhole to drink. This is the same elephant in the series with the jackal and the lionesses. What an amazing evening that was.
