I am starting to sort out the main deck and fwd gun decks where the 6" guns are found.

My first attempt at scratch building...

Saucer Section finally attached to engineering hull.

I have also created the bridge from a Christmas cracker bowling pin.

Next is the bottom section of the saucer- see shape on the left of model.

I decided to remaster one part I'd bodged together. This one will be molded, cast and included in the Mummy Key kits. This will at least make some hardened modelmaker smirk.

Here I have added the main deck in 1/8" basswood and the lower gundecks. More shaping of the hull

Here's what is left to do: the next five T16 carriers, in their constituent pieces. There's some bits you won't see here, like the various canvas hook pieces, or the suspensions, because those will be made later.

The kits, modifications and scratchbuilds carried cards with vehicle details.

And yes, I am aware the paint is still wet, I was just a little overly exfited and had to take some photos of it.

I'm glad the resin kit appeared 30 years after I attempted to scratchbuild one.

View of the stern as the bondo is layered over the balsa shape. Note again how the very bow and stern have been left for filling with bondo.

complete till it looks like a ship

1 -- Plans are scaled to size (1 inch = 12 feet), plotted and then glued to 1/4 " plywood
