Painting on the side of an old building in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. The building currently houses a Schwinn Bicycle store and they also sell Boy Scout supplies. I do not know how long this has been on the side of the building but it is very aged.

Just before I head Iceland, a couple of us hit Wales to try this huge industrial wasteland again after being rudely removed by secca on previous attempts! Needless to say we won this time! : )
That said we only covered so much, the place is an industrial behemoth!

"In a city full of monkeys, I'm the king
Because I sing with a crooked grimace for the masses
The females screech, all the monkeys jump
Nice thing that I'm the hip monkey
I hang out, have a great day
A couple of primates and a barrel of Havana Club
I pose, have style in front of the camera
And earn a lot of Banana-na-na-na-na
With my monkey power I celebrate popular hits
Brides get shivers on their necks, it pisses off their studs
She kisses her lips, I'll knock over a bus for her
Stand in the sun and drum on your chest
Red fur, big head, looks like a young god
Mothers close, mares flee at a gallop
I see a blond woman, steal her from the balcony
And she scratches me all night long
Everything is colourful, loud and flashing
City full of monkeys is full and stinks
Smog in the lungs, I'm on it and grin
I climb a house and you hear me sing
Everything is colourful, loud and flashing
City full of monkeys is full and stinks
We're partying for no reason, come smoke and drink
The party was successful, we are deaf and blind!"
...out in her sun-room - she want to be out there more and more - spring is approaching according to Tussi
She was sitting in the sun just relaxing. Then she got an itch and proceeded to scratch herself quite vigorously.
Notice the old beaver cutting in the background.

You have to scratch all the way to the top - look at her go! This is the last bit, she is small enough that it takes a few passes to scratch all the way up grasping the post with all 4 pointy paws. Happy Caturday 3 August 2024, "Cat Olympics"

I made this on Saturday from scratch. It's gluten free Carrot Cake. It isn't as good as a regular cake with AP flour, but we're trying to avoid too much gluten in our diet.

Wishing Everyone A Wonderful Evening & A Great Friday!!! :-)
I've always loved crows for their abundance of textures and the hidden shades of blue that only show themselves off in the right kind of light. This one decided to pose for me for a bit in Cades Cove last summer.
Not really a great capture but so typical for Fynn in all his craziness. I haven't had much time to take photos of the cats recently, too much work and too busy with preparations for Christmas. Whenever Fynn sees me with a camera these days he is somewhat overexcited. :)
This Great Egret captured at Fort de Soto Florida a wonderful spot for Shorebirds and also a host of other species which I will be posting soon. Unlike the UK I was sitting nearby under the shade and this beauty landed nearby and had a nice scratch!
With such breathtaking beauty and stunning views, it was hard to leave Alice Lake.
We spent a couple days at Alice Lake, exploring the landscape but admittedly barely scratched the surface of what the Sawtooth Wilderness has to offer.
