Here the calipers show the thickness to be about 1/32" for my average cabinet scraper.

This is a familiar tool. As I remember them from my childhood I got curious and bought this one together with a few unused scraper hooks. This Skarsten model is apparently made for wallpaper scraping but works well enough on wood too. The removable hook can also be sharpened.

After a relaxing breakfast, we went on a walking tour of Charleston, with Michael Trouche of Charleston Footprints. Michael is a 7th-generation Charleston native. He had such interesting stories and perspectives of Charleston, its history and its buildings. If you decide to visit Charleston, make sure you include this walking tour in your itinerary!
