The upper part of this Toronto skyscraper reflects the the sky as a deep blue - given away by the small patches of cloud.

At at a highway widening project on Arizona State Highway 260 between Cottonwood and Camp Verde.

I found this in a pile of "river stones" dumped at a construction site in downtown Austin.

One of the huge scrapers used around Twizel to construct the Hydropower Scheme.

CAT 637E Scraper of Arvada Excavating

Part of a project I did for my lithography class at school.

 

Oh scraping. It's a zen experience. Makes such a satisfying "swoosh swoosh swoosh" noise.

The temple complex of Prambanan lies among green fields and villages. It has eight shrines, of which the three main ones are dedicated to Shiva, Visnhu and Brama. The main temple of Shiva rises to a height of 130 feet and houses the magnificent statue of Shiva's consort, Durga. Sunset at this amazing Temple is beautiful and serene.

After a relaxing breakfast, we went on a walking tour of Charleston, with Michael Trouche of Charleston Footprints. Michael is a 7th-generation Charleston native. He had such interesting stories and perspectives of Charleston, its history and its buildings. If you decide to visit Charleston, make sure you include this walking tour in your itinerary!

This is a familiar tool. As I remember them from my childhood I got curious and bought this one together with a few unused scraper hooks. This Skarsten model is apparently made for wallpaper scraping but works well enough on wood too. The removable hook can also be sharpened.

Here the calipers show the thickness to be about 1/32" for my average cabinet scraper.
