A striking close-up of a performer in a detailed steampunk-inspired monster costume at the Guggenmusik Festival. Rusted metal elements, intricate textures, and an expressive face bring this character to life in the vibrant atmosphere of the event.

Only fans and friends. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Franklin & Pine: where they're installed but, maybe, their names? Or would it be C-3PO and R2-D2?

Call it 'found art,'

Kicked to the curb.

Call it a bad hair day,

Coiffed on the street.

While on the look out for the ever elusive Snowy Owl, I saw this scrap metal on the shoreline and decided to try and capture the early morning light. Thanks for stopping by!

This sculpture stands guard over the parking lot of a popular local thrift and second-hand shop in Durham, NC.

Palacio de las Aguas Corrientes (Water Company Palace) museum was curating an art show by Edgardo Nelson Rodriguez, a 1942 born Buenos Aires artist.

Here are two of the show pieces.

The show is based on 3Rs: REDUCE, RECYCLE AND REUSE.

Rodriguez works with plastic materials used for something else, most often waste and scrap.

Rodriguez illuminates his pieces and makes them subjects of the limits of his imagination.

The shows aim is to raise awareness among adults and children about caring for the environment .

My attempt at making lake scenes with applique and fabric scraps. I think it needs a lot of work, yet. But this is the first one I tried. I think the sky and lake delineation is clear, I just need to work on the sailboats.

I used the salvege edge fabric names to name my little village houses.....lol.

Lots and lots of detail. I particularly layered the tree leaves with stitches and different fabric./branches. How do you like this one?

Made from a junked opener, found nut, scrap wire, and ceramic bead.

Inspired by a suggestion from fellow Flickr artist Ulyxes (thanks Ulyxes!).

I tried to match up the name a little, but, I have more interesting names that I will have to make a piece for....lol.

Start with one vintage Hamilton Beach Mixer and add a cup of misc. ingredients, handle safely and there you have it...

My first attempt at sailboats. I am not sure how they will be received, but I had to try. I think I will work on them more and try to get a better sailboat.......

EVA is 42" tall and comprised of all recycled materials.

After a week of trying "tradtional patchwork" quilting, I had to return to what I love. This truly is a joy to do. This one I especially liked the wadded up fabric in the laundry basket.......
