The Bonfire Yell is one of the highlights of the annual Scouting Camporee. The boy scouts and girl scouts of SFAMSC show off their talents in dance, acting, and singing as they perform their cheers and yells exulting the values of scouting and challenging the other patrols to do better with friendly jabs that help spark healthy competition. To give their very best performance, each patrol dedicate many days to choreograph and practice their yells. This activity helps develop important life skills such as cooperation, teamwork, creativity, and the strength of character to be able to perform publicly. Audiences are usually surprised so see once timid and shy students shine and give it their all in the Bonfire Yell.
On November 17th at the Patch Community Center, Scout Master Duke Whitten presided over a Court of Honor as Troop 154, along with several other Eagle Scouts from the local area, celebrated as Joseph A. Engelbrecht IV donned a white neckerchief and became an Eagle Scout.

Scout is our reigning queen and barely tolerates everyone in the house. Unless Sazzy visits - then she never leaves her side.
Scout has had a heart murmur since kittenhood and it is now progressed to cardiomyopathy and she's been on beta blockers for quite a while. We were told early on that kitties with her condition usually don't live more than 9 years so she's doing very well for an old lady of 14. And has quite a bit of spunk.
So, I just noticed that Scout has "LUCY" pull charms on her cord. I think she will be Lucy then:)
I also gave her bangs because I sure do love girls with bangs...
A Sniper Scout here, I have added a servo skull to make him stand out on the field a bit better, the chapter symbol is the older (I think) deathstrike marines chapter symbol.
1st Shalford's 2007 Scout Fete, held on the Village Cricket Green on Sunday 17th June 2007. This included a car boot sale.

This is Tim, my 30th stranger. I'd seen Tim a few times helping with preparations for the parade, but he'd looked busy and I didn't want to bother him and risk a rejection!
However, just as I was heading to the parent's viewing area, to watch my son in the parade, my 6th stranger Greg, happened to appear with Tim! Greg said hello and told me that Tim would happily be part of my project too!
I asked Tim if he was sure and quickly took a couple of shots! Tim is involved with the Scout Movement and also works with autistic children.
Thanks Tim, for unexpectedly becoming part of my project!

March 10 through March 13 2019. This hands-on resident camp allows girls ages 14 to 18 to participate in a variety of activities which build leadership, self-confidence, and respect through teamwork. The camp is supported by the Girl Scouts, in partnership with Public Safety, Police and Fire/Medical Departments from across the valley.

I am doing these toe-up. The pattern is cuff down but the pattern repeat doesn’t matter which end is up. So it is easy to switch to toe-up instead.
I have been debating what to do with the Scout’s Swag in Socktoberfest that I got from Silvercat. I was worried that the Zombie pattern might be too busy for the yarn. But so far, I really like the way it looks.
I got to the 64 stitches recommended in the pattern & it fits my foot well. It is a little loose, but I am hoping that it will tighten up a smidge when I block it.
Given the orange in these, I want them knit by Halloween. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough orange in the yarn for them to count for the September Sock Knitter’s Anonymous KAL. Ah well. Still enjoying the pattern & the yarn.
