Shofixti Scout. This is the kamakazi ship. For whatever reason, even though it was the smallest and cheapest ship in the game, I loved it. Perhaps it was the challenge of beating things with just the little pea-shooter (and not activating the glory device).
These were built a good long while ago, shortly before my Lego dark ages. I've still got some of them around. Some day I'll endeavor to build the whole line of ships. These pics are a bit old too.
For those of you unfamiliar with Star Control (pfft! losers!), today is your lucky day. Toys for Bob was cool enough/bribed enough to release it as freeware under the name The Ur-Quan Masters. Go play it now! And never forget to *Enjoy the Sauce!*
The Bonfire Yell is one of the highlights of the annual Scouting Camporee. The boy scouts and girl scouts of SFAMSC show off their talents in dance, acting, and singing as they perform their cheers and yells exulting the values of scouting and challenging the other patrols to do better with friendly jabs that help spark healthy competition. To give their very best performance, each patrol dedicate many days to choreograph and practice their yells. This activity helps develop important life skills such as cooperation, teamwork, creativity, and the strength of character to be able to perform publicly. Audiences are usually surprised so see once timid and shy students shine and give it their all in the Bonfire Yell.
Strictly speaking, I suppose "British Scouts in Western Europe" should be regarded as a British County Badge. It was used by Scout Troops associated with British forces stationed in Germany. I suspect again largely Rover Crews but also Scout Troops of children of army families living over there.
Scout is about 7.5 years old but still acts like a kitten, which is hilarious for the humans in the house but is very annoying for the other cats.
One of the silliest thing Scout does is chase her own tail. She does it a lot, particularly when she's in a confined space--you know--where she can TRAP that sneaky tail. For some reason, the tail always manages to escape.
Here she is in her new stroller. Yes, I'm heading toward crazy-cat-lady-dom with this stroller. I actually got the stroller for Elly because she cries and cries whenever I am working in the backyard. Now she can be in the backyard with me and cry there.

Ojalá scout sea algo replicable a muchas otras cosas... en fin, soñar no cuesta...

This is a trial run for the upcoming sail I'll be going on with the Sea Scouts across Lake Michigan and running up the Western coast of Michigan at various ports in Aug 2012 for 7 days. I'm looking forward to this experience and working with the Sea Scouts.

Scout is a 16 yr old Trail Horse. He's a real nice guy, his owner AND his companion/dam passed away this summer, leaving him alone. He could use the stability of a new family.
~He is an intermediate level trail horse. Moves off easily to light aids and neck reins. If you're tight to the bit he will shake his head.
~He's a real nice guy, sweet, 16 yrs old, 14.3-15 hh. Appaloosa gelding.
~The trade-off for this great package -- He does have a history of laminitis episodes so will need an adopter who can manage him properly - dry lot turnout, not a lot of sweets, regular farrier care to keep his feet trimmed to maintain a short break over. Vet info on his laminitis -- His Right Front has a 3 degree rotation and a fracture of the wing of P3. His Left Front has a 4 degree rotation and elf-toe change of his P3.
Adoption Fee: $500 Available through Helping Hearts Equine Rescue, Inc.
