Taken through the scope and window; our first sighting here in three years. I was able to study this one in a way I hadn’t been able to before. It reminded me of a Field Sparrow mixed with a juvenile White-crowned Sparrow that drank WAY too much coffee.
Taken outside the Scope. I combined two long exposures together to get the best of both photos. It may appear as the police car is in motion but it was standing still to alert traffic before the Norfolk Admirals hockey game at the Scope. I sat the camera down on the sidewalk and took the two shots as we waited for the light to change so we could cross. Some people had already began walking in front of the one exposure but they aren't visible in the shot as it was near the end of the second exposure.
Uploading just one of the images of my scope so I can label it for those who were interested in what/where everything is
Apparently this technique works best with 12 threads + tiles / plates that have a groove at the bottom. Can create some very nice round shapes.

Just some more mods. Switched the attachments on the Hac and Arc. This wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, but I like the results. Also, a preview of my (possible) entry for the Toywiz spokesfigure contest.
Hac detail shot.
Please note that a new hardware version of this device has been released, therefore these images will most likely not apply to it.

I was playing Ghost Recon 2 with my other half & friend last night. That's how i came up with this idea.
A quick jaunt through Petaling Street, home of counterfeit/replica designer bags, shoes, make-up, clothes, and lots of bootleg DVDs. I felt very claustrophobic in there and not really in bargaining/haggling mood, so I was happy to roll in and roll right back out. Sensory overload.
photo by: Kevin In September with my little brother Kevin as the Inspector and myself and G as the main crew we renovated the west wing of the basement (a large room with full window and double door to back yard and a 10x20 area divided into a new kitchen and bathroom) which I have named The Base Station. After throwing out half the stuff stored in the room and moving the rest into the laundry room and the 2 other bedrooms and hallway in the basement we proceeded to gut down to the cement and cinder block, replumb, rewire, restud, drywall. mud, paint and finish and furnish (thanks to craigslist) what is now a pretty sweet property upgrade/rent-able apartment in my parents house and a base station for me while I figure out about student debt, finishing school, transferring programs etc. What was originally going to be a one month process of cleaning the room quickly became a 3 months project as we started to peel back the layers of the space that hasn't been used in many years finding mold and drainage problems... Kevin joked the term for this in engineering world is scope creep, when the scope of the project creeps larger and larger. For his birthday in mid-Nov I got him some coveralls and made this screenprint for our construction crew. Base Station Renovation Fall 2012
The Obel Industries SVT-40 rifle, with authentic scope. Chambered for 7.62x54mmR and fed via 10-round mag or top-loaded with 5-round stripper clips.
The E-Scope, Electronic Stethoscope can amplify sounds up to 30 times louder than an acoustic scope. This allows the user to listen in a traditional way with increased volume.
One of fifty-one new designs I captured from inside one of my real kaleidoscope. This particular scope uses light from the side which reflects through colored glass into pieces of glass and jewels floating in oil. It also has a black bottom and black sides so the light actually illuminates the inside items like neon. In this one, I also set the scope on a yellow surface to cause the light source to have more of a yellow tint.

The XM8 was the designed by Heckler and Koch (H&K) in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The rifle shared design aspects with the famous and effective G36. The project was cancalled unfortunately due to limited funding and and expensive replacement parts.
My XM8 though, is here! (after a lifetime...) I ran into a lot of problems with a certain Bricklink seller, not saying names, but I finally got most of the parts, the only exception being some bracket pieces, allowing the stock to extend. I have 2 right now, and 4 more are supposed to be coming! So expect a version 2 soon! :)
Features:
Working Trigger
Working Bolt (Pulls back and is ambidextrious)
Functioning Stock
A Scope With Crosshairs
Removable Magazine (Based off Cole Edmonson's)

Eva Cox was born Eva Hauser in Vienna in 1938, and was soon declared stateless by Hitler so grew up as a refugee in England, till 1946, Italy and then Australia from age 10. She remembers being cross in Kindergarten that boys were offered drums, and girls the tambourine or triangle. All these early experiences primed her political activism and made her an irrepressible advocate for creating more civil societies. She is an unabashed feminist and passionately promotes inclusive, diverse and equitable communities. Her 1996 book (Leading Women) explained why women who made a difference were usually labelled as difficult. She has been an academic, political adviser, public servant, and runs a small research consultancy. A sociologist by trade, she has published widely and eclectically in books, journals and newspapers. Now a Research Fellow at Jumbunna Aboriginal House of Learning at UTS, Eva has been recognised in various ways: Australian Humanist of the Year, a Distinguished Alumnus at UNSW, and was the ABC Boyer Lecturer (1995) on social capital and making societies more civil. She also stirs through being a Fellow of the Centre for Policy Development, a Research Fellow at Jumbunna (UTS) and the Chair of WEL Australia (Women’s Electoral Lobby).
