I'm constantly revising the roughly created Scopedog Custom.
The leg ratio looked too short, so I increased it a little bit. Also, I added turnpick and roller dash to this. In addition, I have worked on improving the quality of various parts that I don't like.
I'm going to make an arm punch soon.
That's it for today.
Thank you.

This is an uncommon sighting around here, and when word went out that there was an Ani hanging around outside the wetlands area, lots of people showed up to take a look. This couple allowed us all a good close look thru their scope.
Biologically inspired scope. Fluidity of the Objective lens allows for variable magnification, optimum light collection and even allow for slight panning.
After much alleged difficulty with the reticle, I will explain.
the middle circle is to be sighted in at 400 m. each circle to the side is an adjustment for windage.
the line directly above is 200m and less
the lines below the circles are to be sighted in at 600 m, 800 m, 1000 m, 1200 m, 1400 m, and 1600 m respectively.
To the right is a dynamic range display.
Knowledge of the Matrix helps, too.

The Petri Blue Scope dates to around 1961, give or take a year. I can't find much information about this camera, but it was apparently an economy version of the more popular Petri 7. It's virtually identical to the 7, except it lacks the selenium exposure meter around the lens, and has a blue-tinted viewfinder (hence, I suppose, the name "Blue Scope"). I surmise it had a short production run, because it is somewhat rare these days, being much less commonly found than the Petri 7 and the 7's even more common successor, the 7S. I found this one on Ebay, and it came in like-new condition in it's original (somewhat worn) box, complete with manual, warranty card and even the little packet of slilca gel. The nameplate on the camera says "Blue Magic Scope," but the box and instruction manual just say, "Blue Scope," without the "Magic". I suspect the "Magic" was a Petri marketing ploy, which was not very successful. I have yet to find anything magical about it, but I think it takes surprisingly good pictures with nice sharpness and color rendition.
The Iota Lambda of Alpha Chi Omega at TCU hosted "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes"--an event to raise awareness about the seriousness and scope of domestic abuse. Katy Oliphint, the VP of Panhellenic and Philanthropy for AXO, delivered an excellent message to the hundreds of TCU students who gathered on the Campus Commons for the event.
What a great group of students--both AXO and the TCU men who participated in this relay race!

One last note: I can't say enough about how impressed I was with (1) how well this event was organized, and (2) how genuinely nice the members of Alpha Chi Omega are. No surprise really. I've heard others say the same.
This album is part of the event coverage for the Fort Worth Portrait Project. The project tells the story of Fort Worth from 2014 - 2044 one captioned portrait at a time, but I also enjoy covering events like this one too.

I decided to put the scopes back on the mount today, just as I did it started raining :-(
