I liked the scissors case I made for my mom so much that I made one for myself too. I used an iridescent wiggly thread for my raised spiderweb and it was a bit of a pain to work with, but worth the result. I love the design I made and this will be a nice little case to keep my scissors in (I'm always afraid they are going to stab my leather couch.) I am going to put some velcro on to keep the flap closed.

These scissors were used to cut the ribbon on the exhibit hall. They were also really really big, so Dan and I fooled around with them for a little.
Really, truly hate it. Think perhaps that sums up why I'm not a quilter! But how funny is it to know that one of my quilting friends could pull this out of their supply box to give me something to play with for taking pictures.
I attempted shots with a lightbox this weekend. I definitely do not yet get the concept of lighting.
My mom's not around anymore but I still have her special sewing scissors, which she brought over from Japan. Whenever I use them, I always think of her.
Scissors Peak (one of the perspectives of Scissors Peak) in the Dalongqiu District of Yandangshan National Park.
According to the signage, Dalongqiu is one of the "four famous waterfalls of China." (Whether that's true or not, I'm not sure; seems that lots of places here claim to be among the 'famous' places.) Dalongqiu is 197 m. (646 ft.) and, like most falls, is at its strongest in early spring. This image was taken in late May 2012.
Other notable features of the Dalongqiu District are the surrounding peaks, namely Scissors Peak (which has different names, depending on the viewpoint of the observer.)
Yandangshan National Park is located in southeastern Zhejiang Province, China, near the city of Wenzhou.
The green hanger is an example of the chiral image because it doesn't have super imposable on their mirror image. The two water bottles are artificial chiral. The scissors (left) contains a plane of symmetry so it is achiral but the other one (right) doesn't, so it is the manufactured chiral object.
Are you tired of reaching into your knitting, sewing or crafting bag only to stab yourself with the tip of your scissors? Or finding holes in your bag? Well the Scissor Tamer will take care of these issues.
One end of the scissors tamer, attaches to the handle of the scissors and the other rubber end covers the tip of the scissors to ensure the tip is protected (as well as your bag and fingers).
The tamer comes with your choice of a small clasp or larger clasp. Please specify in the notes. If nothing is chosen, you will receive the small clasp. You can attach the tamer either by securing the clasp on the handle or by wrapping around the handle and attaching to the the tamer itself. This makes the tamer useful with scissors with larger handles. The tamer is designed to be used with scissors up to 5 incheds in length. If you need a larger one, please convo me to get a quote.
This Scissors Tamer is made with czech pressed glass and silver beads.

This one's dorky, but I really do want to see fancy scissors. Hopefully people will cut strips and paste or tape them down so I can see. :)
My scissors are not exactly great, they don't cut paper well.. and they certainly don't cut fabric haha
