These 5 Yoga Poses Will Relieve Your Headaches:

1. Corpse Pose

Steps:

1. Lie flat on the floor, ensuring that there will be no disturbance for the duration of the pose. Make sure you are comfortable, but don’t use any pillows or cushions. It will be best if you lie on a hard surface.

2. Close your eyes.

3. Place your legs such that they are comfortably apart. Make sure your legs relax completely and your toes are facing sidewards.

4. Your arms must be placed along your body and slightly apart, leaving your palms open and facing upwards.

5. Now, slowly draw attention to every area of your body, starting from your toes. As you do this, breathe slowly, yet deeply, setting your body in a state of deep relaxation. Do not fall asleep in the process.

6. Breathe slowly, yet deeply. This will impart complete relaxation. As you breathe in, your body will be energized, and as you breathe out, your body will calm down. Focus on yourself and your body, forgetting all other tasks. Let go and surrender! But make sure you don’t doze off.

7. In about 10 to 12 minutes, when your body feels relaxed and refreshed, roll to one side, keeping your eyes closed. Stay in the position for a minute, until you sit up in Sukhasana.

8. Take a few deep breaths and gain awareness of your surroundings before you open your eyes again.

Benefits:

1. Brings The Body To A Meditative State

The body relaxes and goes into a deep meditative state, which in turn helps repair the cells and tissues and releases stress.

2. Relaxes And Calms The Body

Shavasana replenishes and rejuvenates your body. It is a great end to your workout, especially if it has been an intense one. The Savasana also gives space and time for the workout to sink in. It is a perfect buffer between exercise and your daily chores.

3. Reduces Blood Pressure And Anxiety

As your body relaxes and calms down, your blood pressure also drops, and this helps relax your heart. As a result, anxiety is in control.

4. Improves Concentration And Memory

The direct effect of meditation is focus and concentration. While you focus on each area of your body while you are in Shavasana, your mind automatically improves concentration and memory.

5. Increases Levels Of Energy

Savasana is the fastest and safest way to gain instant energy. The 10-minute break gives your body an energy boost, and thereby, increases your productivity.

2. Bridge Pose(Setu Bandhasana)

Steps:

Lie flat on your back with arms at your sides, palms down. Bend your knees and place your feet flat on the floor. Keep your feet hip width apart, parallel to each other, and as close to the buttocks as possible. Simultaneously, press your upper arms and feet into the floor and begin lifting your hips towards the ceiling.

Try to distribute your weight equally on the inside and outside of your feet.

3. Inhale, stretch the left leg forward. Unbent the knee fully.

4. Once you are steady, oscillate the left leg out to the side.

5. Breathe deeply as it assists in maintaining concentration.

6. Stay in this pose for 20- 30 seconds. Bring the leg to the center and release the foot to the ground with an exhalation. Practice the pose with the right leg on the other side for the equal time length.

Benefits:

For physically active and balanced body, each organ and joint, including the legs and ankles should be healthy and strong.

3. Stretches the Muscles of the Raised Legs: In the extended hand to big toe pose, one leg is raised out to the side. As the practitioners raise one leg and hold the foot in the hand, they can feel a stretch along the entire leg that releases the tightness and pain in the hamstrings.

7. Revitalizes the Body: The daily practice of Utthita hasta padangusthasana effectively relieves tensions from the body through the action of stretching and thereby revitalizes the body. So, naturally charge up your energy batteries with Extended Hand to Toe Pose.

8. Opens the Hips: Extended Hand to Big Toe posture is an excellent hip opener yoga asana. The pose opens the hips allowing an energetic shift in the body. Tight hips overload the spine and restrict a good range of motion and blood circulation.

9. Develops Focus: Develop higher levels of concentration and focus through the Utthita Hasta Padangustasana. Fixing the drishti on one point along with a steady breathing is challenging but important for attentiveness.

If you are having trouble with your form, try drawing your navel up and your hips back as you extend the hands forward, in order to keep your hips over your knees. 3.Improves flexibility, especially in the spine

4.Relieves symptoms of chronic stress, tension, and insomnia

Visit sciatica.curenatural.info These yoga exercise give a great relief from sciatica pain instantly

Sciatica (or sciatic neuritis)is a set of symptoms including pain that may be caused by general compression and/or irritation of one of five nerve roots that give rise to the sciatic nerve, or by compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve itself. The pain is felt in the lower back, buttock, and/or various parts of the leg and foot. In addition to pain, which is sometimes severe, there may be numbness, muscular weakness, pins and needles or tingling and difficulty in moving or controlling the leg. Typically, the symptoms are only felt on one side of the body.

Although sciatica is a relatively common form of low back pain and leg pain, the true meaning of the term is often misunderstood. Sciatica is a set of symptoms rather than a diagnosis for what is irritating the root of the nerve, causing the pain. This point is important, because treatment for sciatica or sciatic symptoms will often be different, depending upon the underlying cause of the symptoms.(Coutesy Wikipedia) Dont forget to consult a doctor when you have some ailment. SELF MEDICATION IS BAD

We first went to the Wetlands Centre in Barnes a couple of years ago when Eliza was about 20 months old. We didn't get to see much of it - I was pregnant with Hugo, emerging from the grips of HG and struggling with PGP?/Sciatica? pain and Eliza ran around the site at breakneck speed with her new toy pushchair. I've meaning to go back ever since, had half planned a trip at Easter time but then Eliza broke her arm and we had The Pox issues and after that the weather & opportunity just never coincided to make a day out there a possibility.

We finally made it back here today and I'm so pleased - we managed to spend a full 8 hours here taking full advantage of the free craft activities, indoor water play zone, bird feeding walk, playground and the many little watery nooks. We had such a lovely time I bought membership on the way out.

We have really just not had our act together this year for Christmas. It's a weird year in many ways. For starters, our oldest daughter Torrey has moved 275 miles away for college, and while we'll be seeing her for the holidays, she's not here now. (In fact, Kim had a tearful moment when our daughter's Christmas card arrived...)

Also, Kim's physical condition has been rocky lately, with back, leg and calf pain. (We're trying not to say "sciatica" because that sounds so... old-fogeyish, but her sciatic nerve is inflamed and so is the piriformis muscle, which impinges on the nerve, so...) So she's not sleeping well, which means I'M not sleeping well, which means everybody else is pretty much dead in the water.

And that's why, with less than a week till the Big Day, we still don't have all the ornaments on the tree. And we're out and about tonight for a slew of activities, so the ornaments probably won't get on till tomorrow...

Very dark, almost black, opaque color. Not fruity or sweet, I like this but then I like really dark beers. Made in Scotland.

Here's some of the interesting history from the label

Elderberry Black Ale"

Introduced to Scotland by Welsh druids in the 9th Century, elderberry black ale was part of the Celtic Autumn festivals when the "elders" would make this strong ale and pass the drink round the people of the village. The recipe was taken from a 16th Century record of domestic drinking in the Scottish Highlands. Elderberries were used for many natural remedies to cure sciatica, other forms of neuralgia, influenza and rhumatism as they contain tannins and fruit oils.

Ebulum is made from roasted oats, barley and wheat boiled with herbs then fermented with ripe elderberries.

A rich black ale with fruit aroma, silky soft texture, soft roasted flavour and gentle finish.

Recommended with stewed and baked foods.

Drink lightly chilled from a straight glass.

Bryonia Dioica, known by the common names red bryony and white bryony, is a perennial climbing vine indigenous to Central and Southern Europe. It is a flowering plant of the genus Bryonia with five-pointed leaves and blue or white flowers. The vine produces a red berry fruit.

Toxicity:

Bryonia Dioica is generally toxic to humans. Application of its juice to the skin produces inflammation with a rash or ulcers, and consumption of this juice causes intense gastrointestinal irritation including nausea and vomiting in small doses, and anxiety, paralysis, or death in larger amounts. For this reason its fruit has been used to treat scabies, hemorrhoids, rheumatism, and sciatica, as well as finding some uses in waxing.

The seed of this vine, by contrast, is safely edible, and finds use in Western Europe as an ingredient in starch dishes.

In homeopathic medicine, B. dioica seed and extract are consumed for their dietary supplements such as essential oils, flavonoids, phytosterols, and alkaloids.

Sciatica (pron.: /saɪˈætɪkə/; sciatic neuritis)[1] is a set of symptoms including pain that may be caused by general compression or irritation of one of five spinal nerve roots that give rise to each sciatic nerve, or by compression or irritation of the left or right or both sciatic nerves.
