George Hart’s Canadian Pacific 4-6-0 leads an excursion celebrating the Reading Company’s sesquicentennial at Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania. The trip was a Reading – Pottsville round trip.
Inspired by Pissaro’s painting ‘The Effect of Fog’, I took this shot while walking along the Schuykill river in Philadelphia one morning. I first thought this shot would yield a black and white image, but then changed my mind. I used my Nikon D750 and 135 mm Ai f2.8 at f5.6 for capture and Lightroom for processing.

The bridge is Chestnut Street, and the building on the immediate left is Philadelphia's main post office, the following building is 30th St. Station, Philadelphia's main train station, and the bright shiny building beyond that is the Cira Center. On the right is the continuation of the Schuykill Banks Trail.
