ODC: I'm thankful for... all the time I have to do the things I like and be with the people I love, no matter how rare or often that may be.
Sorry for the sentimentality, looks like I'm in that kind of a mood tonight.
another double exposure, capturing images using the scanner
Like a bajillion people have been doing this for the past week and I was inspired to do it!!! I'm pretty happy with the way it came out.
I made a Scanner Camera out of an old scanner and a magnifying glass. I like the vintage look although it's digitial. I call this photo a Scelfie ;-)
"What if the storm ends? And I don't see you. As you are now, ever again."
I got inspired last night. So it had been a while since I had shot anything, and I was looking at photos on Flickr, and I came across an insanely cool scanography photo. So I grabbed my USB, and practically ran to the copier/scanner in my house. The writing on my hand was there from earlier that day, but I thought it would be cool to use anyways. :) So here's my first use of scanography! I'll probably use a lot more of it later.
Comments, feedback, constructive criticism, it's all really helpful! Thanks! :)
here's a mosaic preview of the funky 'scanography' set, which you can see here: flickr.com/photos/28551615@N00/sets/1476536/

Most of my scans were taken back in 2008 when I first discovered you could take pictures using a flatbed scanner.
I didn't need VueScan software to use my old Epson Perfection scanner then, but I do now.
VueScan software allows you to use scanners which are no longer supported. Hamrick have reverse engineered over 6500 scanners and have included built in drivers in VueScan so you can keep using the scanner you already have.
So don't throw that old scanner away.
Keep using it with Vuescan software and help save the planet.

Xerox scan of my face and other objects using public Xerox machine at a library or somesuch.
8.4 X 14 inches.
Undated, but I know it was sometime around 1981-1983. Just to illustrate the adage that there's nothing new under the sun... since flickr seems to be highlighting the 'new' art of scanography this week.
Contemporary scanographers be warned: this is not not not good for your eyes even if you close them. Don't do too many.
I had a portfolio of these but at some point they were exposed to moisture and this is the only one that survived. Not my favorite one, but there is.
JKPP is, of course, welcome to draw me from this if so inclined.
For my own future searching: scan, scanner, photocopier, photocopy.
Created on a scanner while moving the flowers. Depending on how fast the movement is, gives a different image every time. Single image captured. Processed in LR only.
