I was scanning a load of my pictures when I decided to have a go at something a bit different.

Using my trusty flatbed scanner to grab an impression of my hand, I ran a version of the image through an edge-detect filter and then combined it over the original image in difference mode (roughly 70% opacity). A little bit of gentle Gaussian blur and some resizing completed the image.
