Fractal scaling makes this look like it could be mountains or pebbles. These "cliffs" are about 4 feet high.

This railtrack scale is located at Kepa Zawadowska in Warsaw enroute to the EC Siekierki heat- and powerplant. It is built into the track and measures the weight of 4-axle cars, which bring coal to EC Siekierki. The speed at the scale must be reduced to 3 to 5 km/h max. to allow proper operation. The length of the measuring track is exactly to match the Eaos/Eas railcars' length.
Those aren't leaves. The cormorants are back, and nesting on the Leslie spit.
Ever get the feeling you're being watched?

I'm doing a terrible job of conveying scale. The larger rooms area were appropriately measured in acres.

General store scale from England, bought in an out of the way antique store near Alvin, Texas. Made by Avery, Birmingham, England. The weights were included in the deal. They are usually missing.
Photos of my scratchbuilt N Scale passenger terminal. More details to be added, and some final touch ups, but mostly completed!
Built in 1856 as an effort by the Danish government to improve trade in the by-then declining Christiansted, the Scale House allowed for products to be inspected and weighed on a massive floor scale in the open room to assess their value. The effort failed to improve the finances of St. Croix.

Some time ago I saw an image from Wink on flickr who was playing with a fun fish eye attachment. Now I like to have fun, and the price was right. This is an old market scale, that I bought at an antique store in Temecula Ca. It's heavy! Took four men to load it into the trunk of my car and then I drove home with the rear of my car riding very low. Shot with my new attachment and then did an HDR with five images. Wink said it was important to shoot at a high f stop because of lack of sharpness on the edges. He was right because I shot this at f13, next time I'll do f22 like he told me to do. I like the fun distorted lines...Anyone for a grape?
