stacked bamboo waiting to be rigged into scaffolding
This photo was taken with my beautiful red Canon Snappy S that I bought for peanuts at the photography market. I can't find much information on it, or photo samples at all. I did find the specs on the Canon Camera Museum website.
According to the website, the camera was marketed in 1985.
"Fully automatic 35mm Lens-Shutter camera with fixed-focus, built-in flash, and an electromagnetic programmed shutter and aperture. The 35mm f/4.5 lens has 3 elements in 3 groups.
The reversed Galilean viewfinder has yellow projected frames. A battery check and camera-shake warning is within the image area.
Film loading, advance, and rewind are automatic. Two size-AAA batteries power the camera. The camera came in red, yellow, and black."
I just thought it was cute and very 80's.

The scaffolding inside and out will be used to facilitate thermal-imaging and exploratory probes of the building, as work on the restoration of JJML begins.
I started my series of scaffolding photos when I noticed this scaffolding attached in the same manner as it had been during the construction of medieval buildings I've seen in Britain, notably Framingham castle.
Scaffolding built up around the pylons that support the Encounter restaurant in the middle of LAX. I liked the regular chaos of it. And, anyway, I was waiting for my ride to show up.
Bamboo and plastic zip ties serve as scaffolding during construction on small scale buildings and skyscrapers alike, and unharnessed workers climb it like Spiderman!.

2007-07-31 6:58 p.m. - Both hawks visible here. One on the far left a few rails down from the top of the scaffolding, the second on top at the far right.
