You know how some songs have a tendency to bring back memories and feelings within just the first few measures? This song does that for me, probably does for my sister too. It feels like so long ago, burning cds to play in the car, singing every word at the top of our lungs from the back seat on our way home from school and laughing hysterically. We danced as best we could with seat belts holding us down. And then when I learned to drive it was still there, out with dad and on the way to school some days. It's a driving song somehow, and I have to admit I still have a soft spot for Save The Day.

So when I was about 15 I had a cousin who had veiny hands and I mentioned it to her and consequently offended her. Oh dear Karma, now guess who has them? Also, a little moisturizer wouldn't hurt.

These vertical poles mark the safe route across the tidal sands and mud of the Pilgrims Way, the ancient crossing way from the English mainland to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne on the Northumbrian coast of North East England. Should you get caught out by the rising tide then the construction in the foreground is the emergency refuge where you can wait until the tides recede again.
The bubble is saved from the slaughter. Took me quite a while to get the bubble to land perfectly on the pin head but got there in the end.

A couple of days ago I noticed this wasp all trussed up in a spider's web. The wasp was struggling trying to get away. It had managed to free its antennae and part of its abdomen. It was wriggling quite a bit but there was no sign of the spider. I left it to escape fully expecting it to do so. The following day I went to see the web expecting it to have been repaired but no. The wasp was dead and just about in the same amount of webbing as previously. Again there was no sign of the spider. The same was true today so I'm thinking that maybe in wrapping the wasp the spider got stung possibly after biting the wasp. So in the end neither were winners!
