"Quando l’ultimo albero sarà stato abbattuto,
l’ultimo fiume avvelenato,
l’ultimo pesce pescato,
vi accorgerete che non si può mangiare il denaro."
Profezia degli Indiani Cree
"Only when the last tree has been cut down,
Only when the last river has been poisoned,
Only when the last fish has been caught,
Then only will you see that money cannot be eaten."

What advancement has been spelled out this morning?
Or any other morning for the matter with us is not yet found,
Still somehow uncolonized is the space within our heart
Overrun as it may be by so much as the duty bound
Ways radiating the loss of our own habitat that now sets us apart
From the roads we build atop the past trampled underfoot
Cobbles give way to the gobbles of hungry economic pressure
Drink your coffee quick so you may be full of beans in readiness
For the trek that gives a heck for seizing a rightful expressure
Over distinctive burials of hurt and all of life's bloodiness
Emotion rather resembles archaeology with origin unknown
It's a treasure worth having yet it's value cannot be easily told
We may hold such an artifact in our hand yet flinch in someone else's
And crack as we might it is only time that can find out before we're sold
By which time living memory has been and gone where history convulses
When we're done and dusted our image of ourselves speaks of tribal beliefs
Those narrow-minded policies handed-down from government to bleeder
Oh! and what stories shall we tell when our rich soil becomes political?
My childhood garden now a by-word for by-pass, a ruddy road's northern feeder
For no truth is harder to bear than next year's road map, ahead lies, lies, lies so hypocritical
Motions passed in my backyard by persons who'll have been and gone
Before my oats are cold...I jest, of course,
For the planners I never see live far, faraway from the likes of you or me
They have job descriptions that even google doesn't yet know, how coarse!
Yet real their decisions are, for their administrative cocoon may leave me a solitary tree
As swathes of childhood memory are churned-up why must we build over
Areas of greatest worth? leaving but a dust bowl to live out of
Only queried when the going gets tough and the tough have long gone
I speak of the Wensum valley and Norwich's soon to be northern ring of cupboard love
The atlas speaks what councils forgot to tell us...now preservation has been foregone.

This is the Governor's Mansion at the Sharlot Hall Museum in downtown Prescott.
In the summer of 1864, workers under the direction of three contractors (Samuel E. Blair, Daniel Hatz, and John Raible) built this log house as the governor’s home and office. It is the oldest building associated with Arizona Territory still standing on its original location.
Called a “mansion” because it was very upscale and permanent compared to the shanties and tents of the time, it enjoyed a place of prominence in the young community. In the 1920s, thanks to Sharlot Hall, the building was repurposed to hold her collections of historic artifacts and the “Gubernatorial Mansion Museum” opened its doors to the public in 1928. Upon her death in 1943, the Museum was renamed in her honor.
Today it is furnished based on a letter written by Margaret McCormick and dated April 1, 1866, written to her friend Emma Denike of Rahway, New Jersey, where she describes “her home.” The Mansion also houses exhibits describing its construction and featuring artifacts found during restoration work in 1981.

In 1928, a remarkable woman named Sharlot Hall saw the need to preserve Arizona’s cultural heritage. Today, her vision has grown into a lush campus of 11 exhibit buildings—eight of which are historic, with one included on the National Register of Historic Places. We invite you to explore these unique pieces of our collection.
Sharlot Hall Museum is named after its founder, Sharlot Mabridth Hall (1870-1943), who became well-known as a poet, activist, politician, and Territorial Historian (the first woman to hold a salaried office in Arizona). She was one of the West’s most remarkable women. As early as 1907, Ms. Hall saw the need to save Arizona’s history and planned to develop a museum. She began to collect both Native American and pioneer material. In 1927, she began restoring the first Territorial Governor’s residence and offices to house her extensive collection of artifacts and documents. The “Gubernatorial Mansion Museum” opened in 1928. After her death in 1943, the museum was re-named in her honor.
Today, the Sharlot Hall Museum features eleven exhibit buildings (six of which are historic), compelling exhibits, and beautiful gardens, which serve as the setting for numerous public festivals and events. The east wing of the Lawler Exhibit Center presents the Pre-History of Arizona’s Central Highlands featuring the time of the Beasts to the first indigenous peoples; the main gallery provides a venue for temporary exhibits and displays; and the west wing provides a venue for special events and temporary exhibits.

Sharlot Mabridth Hall (October 27, 1870 – April 9, 1943) was an American journalist, poet and historian. She was the first woman to hold an office in the Arizona Territorial government and her personal collection of photographs and artifacts served as the starting collection for a history museum which bears her name.
It's been really cold here in Finland for a couple of weeks now. Lovely midwinter then. :-) Days are getting longer. Snow is pretty. Polar bears everywhere. :-)

----------------------------- JESUS ✝️ SAVES-------------------------------
SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST - ALONE!
12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️
16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the SALVATION of everyone WHO BELIEVES: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM GOD IS REVEALED, a righteousness that is by FAITH FROM FIRST TO LAST, just as it is written: "THE RIGHTEOUS WILL LIVE BY FAITH." (Romans 1:16-17)
16 KNOW that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be JUSTIFIED BY FAITH in CHRIST and NOT by observing the law, BECAUSE BY OBSERVING THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED. (Galatians 2:16)
1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4. that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5. and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8. and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
9. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11. Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)
7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10. The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)
1 Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. 2 For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. 3 Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. 4 Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
5 Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them." 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 "or 'Who will descend into the deep?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:1-13)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

Skull!
They all know, they all know!
Sorry, did I wake your dream, some questions run too deep
We only, only wake up when we sleep
Led by the lunar light, trouble's all we'd find
Lost our way tonight
Is it something we said?
Is it something we said to them?
Is it something we said?
Save me - I'm trapped in a vile world
Save me - Where the end game's all the same as every other
We're only here to die
Save me - I'm losing my only dream
Save me - I can use some guiding light, some place to go
If you hear me, let me know
They all know, they all know!
Ever since the day you left my fates been set unknown
How many years to walk this path alone?
So much to see tonight, so why'd you close your eyes?
Why can't I shut mine?
Is it something we did?
Is it something we did to them?
Is it something we did?
Save me - I'm trapped in a vile world
Save me - Where the end game's all the same as every other
We're only here to die
Save me - I'm losing my only dream
Save me - I can use some guiding light, some place to go
If you hear me, let me know
If you hear me, let me know
Help me find my way
Said help me find my way
No pulse inside of me
Stone cold lips and heresy
All lies and to a degree
Losing you I wanna be, oh
You'll find out right now,
He may be out of his mind, but someday you will find
That sanity has left us all blind, and dragged us all behind
A moment seen through those eyes, crystal blue disguise
They say that all beauty must die, I say it just moves on
If you'd only open your mind, then someday you will find
Insanity left us behind, and walked right through the door
I can see the picture's clear as yesterday, pictures all my own
I can hear the voices begging you to stay, but know you're not alone
Save me - I'm trapped in a vile world
Save me - Where the end game's all the same as every other
We're only here to die
Save me - I'm losing my only dream
Save me - I can use some guiding light, some place to go
If you hear me, let me know
If you hear me, let me know
Tonight we all die young
Tonight we all die
Tonight we all die young...
This Save Mart store at 5600 Folsom Blvd in Sacramento, California was originally a Lucky Supermarket. It was an Albertsons from 1999-2007. The sign reminds me of the old Lucky Three Square Pylons.
Bicycles are simply the most efficient form of transport. They produce no waste and improve our health and wellbeing. If we all used a bike to get to work and visit friends and family or went on cycling holidays instead of road trips, it would have an immediate and profound effect on our fossil fuel use and contribution to climate change.
Finally, as if all this is not compelling enough, cycling just 10km each way to work, once a week, instead of driving saves about $926 and 304kg of greenhouse gases each year.
Its sometimes just simply about saving yourself, if you dont who will. I have lyrics 'Que sara sara, whatever will be will be, the future is not ours to see' tattooed on me and that is something i feel is so worthy to be inbedded in my skin and mind.....Whatever will be will be, so let it be what it is. Save yourself, and save your mind, save your heart, and dont ponder on the lies... give yourself a reason to be strong a reason to carry on, call on that inner strength and be the person who is worth saving... as you as am I, are awesome!!

It's the story of METRA "two-tenny" and a very "interesting" person. I'd never have known this was a thing if this person had not been on site while I snapped this pic. Google it...or not.

was going for something else, but i thought this worked just as well.
"I'm sleeping soft tonight
Keeping warm with crooked dreams
The pennies off of dead men's eyes
Never let my pockets weep
And I'm sorry you had to know me
When I'm so fit to be tied.
I'm such a mensch in my clothes but my plans are criminal, whoa
So give me your hand in a quote - I'll save your grim and single soul, whoa
I'm hoping you're the type
The kind that falls for every line
The kind that sings along to all of my wrongs
Too good to be a find
Now honey, my time is money
And you've come dressed in rags"~ Jet Lag Gemini
