Very bad light at Blackness today

This young sparrowhawk could just about fly but needs a bit more practice on nailing the landing.

It hung there like a bat for 10 -15 minutes - I was hoping it would have a flap to get itself upright - but when a couple of walkers wanted to get past it flew off.

After the previous day being a total wash-out, the late afternoon sun on Friday induced m to have a go for some SEO shots. There were several close fly-pasts and a few shots obtained.

Not too much to write home about, this is the only time I've seen this species lower than a height of 20 feet off of the water.
