Environmental sampling; monoliths are taken through exposed sections. These are analysed after excavation to find traces of plant pollen and insects. The type of plants and insects can tell us about the surrounding landscape when the pit was filled in.

Magnus is sampling some of the biofilm found on the calcite mineralization (speleothem analogues) found on the granite(!) walls of Kungsträdgården metro station. He is using gloves so not to contaminate the samples.

Vintage Crochet Sample

It was a common practice 60 to 100 years ago to make samples and keep them in a box or stitch them in a book so that at a later time you could reproduce it. It was also a way of sharing patterns. Most people now don't know how to copy a pattern visually.

Concept for conversion of disused buildings − I am inspired by the idea of reclaiming run-down inner city areas for commerce and the public. This concept explores the conversion of derelict industrial buildings for contemporary use.
