PLEASE look at the original size!

I was taking a biker and had Sam's 70-300mm with me to try and get some bird shots - when I got home and looked at what I had TRIED to take, they were awful - had a rabbit about 6 feet from me and had taken about 10 shots and they were ALL blurry - was SOOOO pleased that these two butterfly shots "worked" - no PS needed! Yahoo!

There was one deer in the woods next to the trail and by the time I reacted, it had run off - maybe next time . . .

This was one of many streams sampled as part of the U.S. Geological Survey's, Southeast Stream Quality Assessment (SESQA). We looked at fish, algae, and benthic invertebrate communities within either 150 or 300 meter reaches of stream depending on width. It was exhausting but highly rewarding work.
