I really need to finish my sample blocks. They would be so cute on a tote! Also tempted to see if I have enough fabric to make a small baby quilt... Blogged

Just a sample from a collection of photos I took yesterday...trying to compile them into a story-type format. I will be creating a page for it on my website and posting a link to it from Flickr so keep an eye out!

Just to show how small it is. Maybe I'm weird, but I think it's just so cute!
Look what I got in the mail Halloween!!! I was so happy! I had signed up for a free sample a couple of months ago and totally forgot about it. I never really expected it to arrive either, especially not so quickly! You can sign up for yourself here, www.liquitex.com/samplerequest/
but I can’t guarantee anything. ;p
I think it’s so nice that they are giving away samples, I am definitely going to write a review once I try it out. I assume that since it is acrylic based, it should work fine on a monster high’s vinyl head. I love the color I got, I am planning on spraying my CAM Dragon and covering up that bright pink. Hopefully it will be enough to cover all of her, if not I am always willing to buy more. I have had a hard time finding where they are sold though, aside from Michaels.
If anyone else has had experience with using this paint on plastic, please tell me!

1. Open it with flexity. ( www.flamingpear.com/flexify.html )
2. Convert from Mercator to equirectangular, with setting the latitude to 90 degree.
You will see a dizzy spiral wave!

For my month in Sew Bee Wonky I am asking my fellow bee members to create wonky star blocks. I'm providing a FQ of Kona Lake and some pieces of gray and pink fabrics and am asking them to create a large block, the bigger the better. I'm also asking for a second (optional) small block made from the scraps left over from the first. My hope is to end up with a quilt with many different sizes of stars scattered around it.
This is my small sample block -- it measures 8" square (unfinished.)

I know this has been up for debate before but are the ones on the left samples? The purple ones were originally bought brand new with the black already on them. Also, if they had been dyed, the shine under the black (where it is normally white) would not exist like it does in the black air reversals. There is no color bleeding inside the shoe either. The only problem is there are no sample tags. Opinions are welcome and I would appreciate hearing what you guys think. Thanks!
