This dry cleaning shop has been in Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury since 1959. I don’t know if the sign is the original but is certainly looks the part.

Globular springtails, bolvormige springstaarten (all black Sminthurinus sp.)
Enlarged (3x) pictures of flic.kr/p/2m15zpH. The picture in the top left corner is new, but it shows the same specimen as the bottom left picture.
The focus is on the form of the 'eyebrow', as a characteristic to identify the species.
Roel van Bezouw and Frans Janssens seem to agree:
Left and top (short square/round 'eyebrow'): Sminthurinus lawrencei
Bottom right (long almost triangular 'eyebrow'): Sminthurinus niger.
Sminthurinus niger is a rare species (in the Netherlands).
These are all basically the same view out the hotel window:
New Year's Eve daytime, pre-fireworks
New Year's Eve night, fireworks (same as next, but brighter/bluer)
New Year's Eve night, fireworks (same as above, but darker/blacker)
New Year's Eve night, firecrackers (this could be elsewhere actually, I disremember now)
It looks like the Rusland coffee shop is still open, and supposedly the first "coffee" shop in Amsterdam.

Yup, my new old used 300mm IS sharp ;)
5/8 sec. @ f16 ISO200 D70s & Tokyo Koki Tele-Tokina 1:5,5 f = 300mm.
It's a manual focus, pre-select aperture lens from the mid sixties, so I have to do all by myself without any help from my Nikon D70s. Considering I paid 52:- SEK = US$7.50 for it only it is very sharp ;) well + shipping & handling of course (so that doubled the price).
Still, an equal old Nikkor lens would have cost me at least 10x that price.
And then we went to Paignton where they had a Bikers gathering (always feel uneasy what with me being a scooter boy) but like the Pirates it was all leather and long beards and a strange smell, the guy at the bottom was quite scary but the ear ring shot was a have to do.The candy stipe BMW was a Cafe Racer type at £14000. i would have loved it (Harleys on the top left do nada for me) but as it was my Wifes weekend it was a no go.Did have a test ride on the New LAMBRETTA 200 but it's plastic and a twist and go...booo.
Same table is in front of me right now.

'Knife 75' returning to the pad after a refuel down the other end of the airfield. Yet again it's 11-0060, it may be the newest but it would be nice if they would fly a different one occasionally!
Same as the Musicaire model FP-661 transistor radio and the Lane's model FP-661 transistor radio. The identical radio was also sold under the Columbia brand name (model number unknown).
This started out at the same time as my babushkas - I was trying different shaped outlines (this outline is very rough). So I finally went back to that page in my art diary, didnt want to do more babushkas because the shape wasn't real traditional. Decided on an Asian style because I felt the top part of the outline would be ideal for bangs for hair, and it went on from there. Sometimes I wish I would spend more time paying attention to detail lol, Oh well! thanks for looking :)
This side of the stump is what originally caught my attention. As I made my way around and ultimately inside this hollowed stump I noticed a number of interesting features. Mansker Creek Park, Goodletsville, Tennessee, USA.
Same tractor, different angle. Steel wheels were the norm until the 1940's. After the war, farmers discovered rubber tires and they caught on quickly.
