This set mixes it up a bit with both a pretty blonde and brunette goddess! You can see them both modeling the Gold 45 Revolver swimsuits as well as a 45SURFER camera bracket mount for shooting stills & video at the same time.

Here's some epic video of the beautiful goddesses:

Nikon D800 Photos of Brunette and Blonde Swimsuit Bikini Goddesses with Pretty Green Eyes and Pretty Blue Eyes shot with the Nikon D800E and Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II AF-S Nikkor Zoom Lens!

Shot in both RAW & JPEG, but all these photos are RAWs finished in Lightroom 4 ! :)

All the Gold'N'Virtue swimsuits with the main equation to Moving Dimensions Theory on the swimsuits: dx4/dt=ic. Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! :) You can read more about my research and Hero's Journey Physics here:

herosjourneyphysics.wordpress.com/ MDT PROOF#2: Einstein (1912 Man. on Rel.) and Minkowski wrote x4=ict. Ergo dx4/dt=ic--the foundational equation of all time and motion which is on all the shirts and swimsuits. Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!

Modeling both the the Gold 45 Revolver(TM) Gold'N'Virtue(TM) Black Bikini and the Red, White, an Blue American flag bikini!

May the HJM Goddesses guide, inspire, and exalt ye along yer heroic artistic journey! all the bets on your Heroic Journey from Johnny Ranger McCoy!

“Old breed? New breed? There's not a damn bit of difference so long asit's the Marine breed.” — Lt. Gen. “Chesty” Puller

The uniforms may change, the battlegrounds may change, but Marineswill always be America’s warriors. Each week we’ll take a look at, how as time goes on, we remain the same breed.

Conversation from my previous post made me think about if, or how much my skills as a photographer have changed since I have been taking this craft more seriously.

The photos above are two shots of the same waterfall taken four years apart. The photo on the left was taken in October of 2006. The shot at the right was taken recently.

Four years ago I was pretty darn proud of the shot on the left, but am mortified that I would think that it was a great shot. I hate the stand up and take a snapshot composition. The water is all blown out and the sky is blown out as well.

This is how I see the shot on the right. The low comp is better... the sky is hidden keeping me from having to deal with that... and the colors are more vivid and saturated... something that I like in my work.

Have I taken any workshops? Have I read books? Have I taken college classes? Nope, nope and nope. You see, four years ago I discovered Flickr and have been learning from the photographers whose work I admire the most. The best part is the honest opinions and advice given freely by the same people that I admire. I am blown away at how approachable and willing to help the photographers that I admired are.

Thank you to everyone that takes the time to leave comments and critiques. Just a benign and simple "Nice shot!" comment, that some abhor, is seen as positive affirmation and encouragement by me. The critiques for me are lessons from skillful, caring generous photographers that are willing to take their valuable time to help to improve others work.

You all have something to do with my skill as a photographer and the resulting confidence that it fosters. My confidence and my constantly moving benchmark for where I want to be as a photographer are what drives me in what I do as a photographer.

I sincerely... totally sincerely thank everyone that has left comments, critiques and encouragement on my photos. You will never know how much they have helped my work and the personal happiness that I have in my life... especially when I'm out in the fresh air with my camera.

One disclaimer... I am in no way disparaging workshops or college courses. I'm sure that if my life's present situation were a bit more affluent I would be paying for workshops, college courses and books. I am confident that my learning curve would have been shorter and I would have improved my skill quicker. So by all means, take a class or a workshop, but don't discount what can be garnered from personal experimentation, observation of others work and the comments that are left on your photos here on Flickr.

Thanks so much my friends! : )

Happy Waterfall Wednesday.

Another view into the cavernous transhipment building at Mainfreight's depot in Te Rapa Hamilton.

All of these brightly coloured vehicles are owned and operated by contractors, single vehicle owner drivers to small fleets belonging to an individual or small company.

same drawing in oils. just tinkering around with the paints. i don't think i will finish it.

I shot both stills & video at the same time during Lakey Peterson's record-setting heat at the pro women's Nike Hurley US Open Surfing contest in Huntington Beach!

Here's some of the video I shot with the above 45WINDSURF / 9SHOOTER rig:

Enjoy!

Nikon D4 with AF-S Nikkor 600mm f/4G ED VR & Video Camera @ Huntington Beach!

Shooting some video and photographic stills of surfers at the Nike US Open at Huntingon Beach!

I call the above combination the 45WINDSURFER as it lets you SURF the intermittent waves of stills photography, while catching the constant WIND of video. :) I shoot all my models with a variation of this setup too, using the D800 instead with the 70-200 mm VR2.

Here is my gear for tomorrow's finals:

Nikon D4 with AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/4G ED VR & Video Camera!

The AF-S NIKKOR

600mm f/4G ED VR is a high-speed, high-performance prime lens which features Nikon’s VR image stabilization and Nano Crystal Coat!

The Nikon D4 rocks! It focuses fast and continuously! It can shoot 12 RAWS/second! Ideal for shooting Kelly Slater pulling tricks!

The video camera is the amazing image-stabilized Panasonic X900MK 3MOS 3D Full HD SD Camcorder. The 3MOS Sensor splits the light information captured by the lens into the three primary colors - red, green and blue - and processes each color with its own individual sensor. This reduces light loss compared to the 1MOS sensor. Pixel Shift Technology, which took years to develop, provides a huge number of effective pixels for moving pictures – equivalent to four times the pixel count of Full-HD. This technology renders ultrafine images with excellent color reproduction and superb detail! It is built with an awesome F1.5 LEICA lens! The image stabilization is amazing on this, even at full zoom!

Using a rugged Manfrotto tripod and a Manfrotto Bogen tripod head!

Wish me luck @ the finals! :) Wish you could join me to shoot stills & video of the world's greatest surfers!

These pictures were shot with the Sony Alpha 65 (A65).

The panasonic camcorder shoots at 60P and I slow it down to 24P in post for slow motion!

Same mushroom photographed one week apart from previous photo.

The same species that is often kept in captivity and is one of the world's best "talking" birds, but shown here in its natural habitat, Psittacus erithacus is a common resident of forests across the southern half of Uganda and other equatorial regions of Africa. Photo taken at the Chimpanzee House Lodge near Kibale Forest National Park in southwest Uganda, on 9-Jul-2018.

Same process as described for the orange: This a slice of a Florida grapefruit outside in the sun clipped inside a vase filed with Seltzer water, which results in bubbles adhering to the grapefruit. Behind the vase is a colorful piece of fabric. All that is left is to point and shoot with a macro. This shot I process through HDR to enhance.

On Tuesday 16/4/2024, 1421s (Bowmans rail empty RASP ore) is seen approaching Heaslip road (Direk, Adelaide) with the usual Rail first locos el63-EL55 in charge.

From July 2024 Qube took over this working (plus Balco) using RL's &/or G521.

Same old story with this one, HDR from 3 bracketed (-2, 0, +2) RAW files, combined and tonemapped in Photomatix.

I think I like this composition better than the alternate pic I posted yesterday. The pier makes a much stronger leading line in this pic.

I must remember to post pics after i've had more than 3 hours of bad sleep. ^_^
